Through God's grace, I share a given gift!

Well over a decade ago, the inspiration to create jewelry came from two very dear friends...Jean and Capril ( now dec'd). We were all and still...book lovers. I wanted to make book marks with beads and came up with beaded book marks on linen string to match the book jacket of books I read. Thus I began making books marks across the globe and selling them as a hobby to book readers and book clubs. I even thought of creating a patent on my creations, only to discover, someone else beat me to the punch. The story get's better....

Well, one day, Capril took a beaded book mark of mine, wrapped it around one of her ears, snapped a picture and sent it to me...suggesting that the beads were so nice, they should be on a pair of earrings.

I quickly shunned that idea because I rarely wore jewelry, certainly no necklaces or bracelets and earrings only to work in Corporate America.

I shared all this with my friend Jean and when she saw the picture Capril sent...her words to me were "I want the first bracelet you make."

I visited a local bead shop (in California, which is where I originated), invested in swarovski crystal elements, supplies and tools. The store owner showed me how to make earrings. I made over a dozen pair and sold them all the same day.

The rest is history BUT.....the moral of this story is that GOD has given me a talent that I didnt know I had. He introduced that talent to me through my love of books, i.e. making beaded/charmed book marks. His gift to me was not to start a business making book marks, but to use my inner creative mind to share His gift to me in jewelry making.

It is a blessing and very satisfying that I am able to share His gift to me with the world.

And....by the way, Jean still has the very first bracelet I made...14 years ago!
