belaurientarts' Shop Policies
Hello, darlings, and welcome to Belaurient Arts! Yes, I'm fully aware that my items run the gamut from jewelry to plush dolls to quilts to knitted items -- specialization isn't my thing, and there's a reason why I like to say that my middle initial stands for Arts and Crafts. I've been crafting for over 30 years, and I'm very happy to have this opportunity to offer my work to the public.
In compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), all items offered for sale by Belaurient Arts are for people ages 13 and up unless specifically marked.
All items come from a non-smoking, pet friendly environment. If you do have a pet allergy, you may not want to order my plushies -- I maintain a clean workshop, but it isn't hermetically sealed and I do have four cats.
Belaurient Arts accepts payments through Paypal, including credit card payments, and money orders. Unfortunately, I cannot accept personal checks.
Can't quite afford something just now? I will be happy to work with you on a layaway order. The initial payment is 50% down to cover materials cost, with subsequent payments as agreed with the customer.
Your item will be shipped to you via USPS First Class or First Class International mail within five (5) business days (weekdays Monday through Friday) after I receive payment. As of 11/17/2011 all shipments will include delivery confirmation. Insurance is extra, and will depend on the price of the piece -- if you want your piece insured, please contact me before ordering so that I can adjust the price.
I pack most small items in ribbon-wrapped gift boxes, ready to give to someone, and ship them in padded envelopes so that you don't have to pay extra for packaging and postage. International orders are double-bagged for added protection. If you want your item to be packed in a box, please add a note to this effect when you order the item.
Refunds and Exchanges
In the event you need to return an item, please contact me at mmfletcher [!at] gmail.com or through an Etsy convo. I will be happy to work out an exchange, return for refund, or rework of the item you have purchased. I appreciate your business and want you to be completely pleased with your purchases.
If you need to ship an item back to me, I do ask that you pay for the shipping back, but your original shipping costs will be refunded to you along with the full purchase price. I will contact you to confirm that your returned item was received within two (2) business days of receipt.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Oh, boy, do I love custom orders! OOAK is my life.
If you would like a place a custom order, I will communicate with you via email or Etsy convo with regards to colors, styles and any other special requests you have. I do need an email address where photos may be sent, so you can approve them before I start work on your order. I do require that you pay the total due up front, with the understanding that if after you have approved the pictures and style, when you receive it in person you don't like it, you can ship it back for rework for free if it is an issue of sizing/defect, for a small fee in the event of color/style change (price negotiable depending on the amount of rework you want, no more than 20% of the purchase price) or a full refund of the purchase price and original shipping.
You will be required to pay for the return shipping.
Who doesn't love positive feedback? It's my policy to leave you positive feedback no more than two (2) days after the completed sale of your item. I ask that you reciprocate and leave feedback once your item(s) arrive. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please don't hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to work with you to resolve any issues you have.
