Payment is due and payable at time of purchase. Please pay at time of purchase or within three calendar days.

Items will be packaged and sent after payment has completely cleared. If payment has not been received within a reasonable amount of time (as referenced above) buyer will be notified. If buyer does not respond within a timely manner, order will be canceled.
Shipping
***COMBINED SHIPPING***
We try to combine shipping when ever possible. We can combine as many items as fit in the USPS padded flat rate envelope or USPS Express International Mail Legal Size Envelope. Approximately, one pair of jeans, one small light weight jacket, or approximately 3-4 small tops/tees would fit in one of the flat rate envelopes. If combining, please ask and we will check to verify what will fit in one envelope. We can fit a lot more in the larger USPS flat rate boxes. If you are interested combining shipment on more items or larger items, please estimate for a larger flat rate box from the USPS. Medium Flat rate boxes (available in two sizes) and Large Flat Rate boxes. If you are planning on purchasing multiple items and want us to hold shipment on your until all transactions are complete, please let us know via the note section when placing your order.

SHIPPING to U.S. Destinations:
Currently, (unless otherwise mentioned on the listing) we typically use USPS flat rate shipping envelopes and boxes for most orders. We quote you the price we pay for shipping, tracking, and insurance (if you choose to add insurance). We are glad to quote out shipping via Fedex Ground, if requested prior to order.

Shipping quotes are approximated via USPS shipping rate quote system and are subject to change. Shipping to U.S.A. delivery destinations based on U.S.P.S. Priority Mail with delivery times estimated at approximately 3-5 days. USPS does not a guarantee delivery time. It is approximate for most destinations.

INSURANCE:
Buyer is responsible for item(s) after item(s) is/are shipped by the seller. Insurance is the responsibility of the buyer. Please advise if you would like insurance added and add the additional cost when paying. Insurance through USPS is based on value as follows:

Insurance Values: $50.01 to $100 Add: $2.25

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
Standard shipping methods quoted include are based on USPS Flat Rate envelopes and boxes. We charge you, what the Post Office charges us. The shipping rate includes box, gift wrap if requested (can not guarantee gift wrap paper will arrive intact for international shipments due to potential customs inspections), packing, insurance (if requested and paid for by buyer), delivery confirmation, the filling out of required international customs forms, and delivery to listed destinations. Please be aware of the specific restrictions and policies of your countries Customs before ordering. Buyer is responsible for item once shipped. Buyer is responsible for all customs requirements and/or any fees associated with receipt of the package in destination country.

Flat Rate Envelope Quotes are based on the USPS Express Mail International Legal Flat Rate Envelope. This service includes $100 of Insurance and shows an estimated delivery time of 3-5 days depending on the country. The delivery time does not include Customs processing time.

Medium Flat Rate Box Quotes include a shipping weight of up to 20 lbs. HANDLING:
Usually, items are shipped within 2-4 days of completely cleared order payment (see policy regarding payment). We typically ship items on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays. Sometimes the schedule changes or we miss the drop off time. In those cases the items are usually shipped on the following day (ie. Tuesday or Thursday). We try to be prompt and efficient. Our goal is to keep you informed on the status of your order.
Refunds and Exchanges
We go out of our way to provide detailed descriptions and measurements. Please refer Policies under Additional Information for a detailed overview of how to take your measurements and our listing methodology as it pertains to sizing.

Due to the amount of time we spend providing detail and the one of a kind nature of our items, item exchange or return is not available unless specifically mentioned on the item listing. We recommend that the customer have a thorough understanding of sizing and ask questions before purchase.

IF, ITEM LISTING SPECIFIES RETURN or EXCHANGE AVAILABLE:
In some situations we do offer return or exchange. In such cases, return or exchange would be specifically mentioned on the item listing. In this case, return is accepted on the item/garment in accordance with the following policy. Garment is tagged between seam prior to shipping. Non-Garment items are tagged with security loop and tag. Tag is visible, must be unaltered and remain on item/garment in order for Buyer to return. Item/garment must be received back in same condition as it was sent to Buyer. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Buyer must notify seller of intent to return via Etsy messaging within five days of receiving the item/garment.

Buyer must ship item/garment back to seller via United States Postal Service with delivery confirmation within ten days of receiving item/garment. For items specifying return available seller will refund item cost (not including shipping costs) via PayPal once item is received by seller and verified to be in same condition.

For items specifying exchange available seller will provide Buyer with an Exchange Credit in the dollar amount of the original item/garment cost (not including shipping costs), once item is received by seller and verified to be in same condition. Exchange credit can be used on Etsy store within 6 months of the date exchange credit was issued. Buyer pays for shipping when utilizing the exchange credit.

FIT, MEASUREMENTS, & CONSIDERING ALTERATIONS

In selling a variety of new, pre-owned, and vintage clothing, we've found the sizes are not standardized between brands and eras. For example in many cases (depending upon the brand), a vintage 80's dress in a size 8 equates to an average size 2 in today's U.S. sizing.

We try to simplify the shopping process by listing clothing items under the measurement size category that we feel will provide the best fit for the wearer. There are a few things you should consider when shopping for clothing online.

Best fit is dependent upon a number of variables such as fabric flexibility (stretch or non-stretch), fabric structure (lightweight, medium, or heavy), garment style (drape, tailored, flowing, etc.), garment design (construction, seams, dart location, etc.), and the individual preferences of the wearer. Some people like their clothes really fitted and others prefer a bit more space.

We spend extra time measuring each garment and provide as much detail as possible. Please let us know if you have any questions. We are glad to help. Following we have provided you with some helpful information pertaining to your measurements, fit, and things to consider with alterations.

BUST MEASUREMENT:
Run a flexible measuring tape (easily found at a sewing store) under your arms, across your shoulder blades at back and around fullest part of your bust at front, while keeping your arms relaxed at sides and the measuring tape parallel with the floor. This would be your bust measurement.

WAIST MEASUREMENT:
Natural waist usually occurs between the lowest part of the rib cage and high hip. When you bend to one side, you can find your natural waist indentation. Run the measuring tape around your natural waistline, keeping tape parallel with the floor. You can place one or two fingers between your body and the measuring tape for a more comfortable fit.

HIP MEASUREMENT:
Stand on a level surface with both your feet together. Measure around fullest part of your hips and bottom (this can be approximately 7"-9" below your waistline dependent upon body type, height, and torso). Keep the measuring tape parallel with the floor.

THIGH MEASUREMENT:
Stand with heels apart and measure around fullest part of thigh (approximately 1" below crotch). Keep the measuring tape parallel with the floor.

INSEAM MEASUREMENT:
This is the measurement from the inside of the pant leg starting at the top (where the crotch is seamed together) and going to end of the pant leg at the hem. It is best to measure your favorite pairs of slacks or jeans to determine your preferred inseam measurements. If you are unsure what looks best on you, enlist the help of a garment expert to consult with you on the best style and fit for your body type.
INSEAM THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
You might want to consider what type of shoes (heel height and style) you will most often wear with your new slacks, pants, or jeans. This will impact the desired inseam length. Usually, pants or slacks which are too long for the wearer can be shortened by an alterations expert. However, short pants can rarely be extended, since the seam allowance at the hem is usually very small and the fabric has already been permanently creased.

FRONT RISE MEASUREMENT:
This is the measurement from the center front seam of the crotch (where all pieces of fabric come together at the top of the two leg seams), to the top of the waistband. This measurement determines if the slacks/pants/jeans are low rise, drop waist, natural waist, high waist, etc. By taking this measurement on you, you can compare your measurement to garments you are thinking about purchasing and estimate approximately where the waistband of the garment will be on you.

LEG OPENING, THIGHS, AND CALVES:
The leg opening size typically helps identify the cut and style of the slacks/pants/jeans (straight leg, boot cut, flair, pencil, skinny). For best fit, you should determine the size of your calves or thighs. This can be done by measuring each individual leg. Run the measuring tape around widest point of calf muscle, keeping tape parallel with floor. Run measuring tape around widest part (usually mid point between upper hip and knee) of leg thigh.

THINGS TO CONSIDER:
You will want to consider what styles typically look best on your frame. Additionally, you should think about the fabric content and structure, along with the garment style and design. If the garment has some stretch it will be a bit more flexible versus a non-stretch garment.

CONSIDERING ALTERATIONS:
Garments running a little too large for the wearer, can sometimes be taken in or altered to fit properly dependent upon the style, fabric, and cut of the garment. For example, skinny or pencil pants can often be altered/taken in at the base of the leg seam (if the opening of the pant leg is too large for wearer's leg). Also, sometimes darts can satisfactorily be added at the waistline, when the wearer's waist is much smaller than the waistline of the pants. This often happens when a wearer buys pants to fit their bottom and hips, but the waist is too large. Everybody's body is different. It is best to learn your sizing and understand what fits you best.

Garments running too small can rarely be increased in size (while maintaining original style, fabric, and look) due to small seam allowances, creased hems, and stitch marks. Typically, the only time I have seen garments increased in size in visually appealing satisfactory manner, was with complete garment re-styling (which can be time consuming and costly) and it was only a small size increase (considering original size and final re-styled size).


You can learn more about alterations by reading books on the subject or getting to know a good tailor or seamstress. Ask to see their work and ask them to give you a brief overview of what types of garments can be altered and about how much it will cost.

Many dry cleaners offer basic alteration services. If you are considering utilizing a dry cleaning establishment to alter your clothing you should consider a number of variables. Typically, dry cleaners offering alterations services complete very basic alterations such as hems and shortening sleeves. Some do a good job and some do not. I have heard good and bad stories, along with viewing good and bad work. Do not hand over special garments unless you have done your homework. Botched alterations are very disappointing. You only want to place your prized garment in the hands of someone who is definitely qualified. So make sure to ask for references and take a look at some of their finished work. Make sure it meets your standards.

Whenever you have a garment altered, set very clear expectations. Specify the thread type and color. Explain where you like your hemlines to fall, and specifically how you want the garment to look when finished. Confirm with the person doing the alterations that your expectations can be reached. This will increase the chances of you be satisfied with the end result.
