About

The Story of My Shop

I started my shop in 2011 with beaded and wirework fashion jewelry. At the time, I was also selling my jewelry in a local consigment shop. I soon realized that I loved making pieces by hand from start to finish instead of using premade components, so I decided to start from scratch and work with copper, sterling silver, and semiprecious stones. I'm always trying to learn new techniques because a) it's fun and b) life is all about learning and improving, right?

I'm now also showing my jewelry at the Andre Christine Gallery in Mooresville, North Carolina. It's an exciting opportunity to meet other artists and also talk directly to jewelry lovers to find out what they're interested in.

Hey there! Hmm...my bio... I was born in South Carolina. I've always been interested in art and also in shiny things. So I guess it was only natural to try to combine them and make jewelry :)

Additional policies and FAQs
Custom Orders: If you have a general idea of what you would like and enjoy my style of work, please contact me and we can design something together!

Maintenance: I do test all of my jewelry pieces for quality, but every material has its limits. If you take good care of your art jewelry, you can enjoy it for years to come. Here are some tips for the different materials I use:

General tips - To clean your jewelry, use a little mild dish soap and water. It is best not to wear any jewelry when you swim, since chlorine can pit gold, silver, and some gemstones. Try to be careful with delicate pieces that could be crushed, and don't store the jewelry in a pile with other items that could damage it. Take off your jewelry before cleaning the house or putting on makeup and hairspray.

Sterling Silver - For pieces that don't have any antiqued finish, a commercial silver cleaning product is great. But if there is any patina or darkening, please don't use these cleaners because they will strip it off. Just use dish soap and water.

Copper - I use a protective coating to prevent tarnish.

Semiprecious stones - These are usually pretty sturdy, but you don't want to step on them, run them over with your car, or expose them to high temperatures. The hair spray thing also applies here, especially with freshwater pearls.
