How I Became BellaSara

A lot of people ask me where I came up with the name for my shop, and it's a simple story that goes back to when I was a young girl. Much of my family has Italian roots and my aunt always called me "Sara Bella" as a young girl. Bella means beautiful in Italian...seemed like a perfect shop name for me!

Much like the name, my love of jewelry goes back to a very young age. I have fond memories of going through my mom's jewelry box and trying on anything she would let me. I'd often ask if I could wear things around the house. I started doing beaded jewelry as a teen, and then let it go by the wayside as priorities of being a teenager shifted.

In my early 20's my love of being creative blossomed again. It came out in many, interior design, paper crafts, and again jewelry making.

Over the years I have grown to love vintage items, especially jewelry. I attribute this love affair to acquiring a couple of vintage gold rings from my paternal grandmother, and a gorgeous set of vintage Tiffany & Co. cufflinks from my maternal grandmother. I just adore the level of detail and craftsmanship that vintage pieces possess. While I do carry a few more high end pieces, I realize that most people can't afford expensive pieces. I want everyone to be able to have a beautiful piece of vintage jewelry, no matter their budget. For this reason I carry mostly vintage sterling silver items in my shop. I am not a licensed jeweler, just someone who loves vintage items and wants to share that love with others.

PRICES ARE FIRM: Due to the high rate of messages received asking for deals, a lower price, trades, offers, & coupon codes - These messages WILL NOT be answered. ***Prices for Antique & Vintage Jewelry are determined by MANY factors*** I often offer sales in my shop, so keep an eye out for those!
Items will not be shipped until I receive payment. I ship via the USPS First Class Mail (unless otherwise noted), and always get a tracking number on packages. Each customer will receive a notification when their item has shipped, along with the tracking number. At this time I do not ship Internationally. If you would like to upgrade shipping, please message me and I can adjust the listing accordingly. I ship Monday-Friday and generally ship 1-2 days after receiving your order.
Refunds and Exchanges

Please note: It is the buyers responsibility to read each listing in entirety before purchasing. Orders cannot be cancelled after payment has been submitted. We can not issue refunds because a buyer overlooked part of the description / listing. Also, please take time to view all photos and zoom in on the pictures before purchasing.

If there are any unforeseen issues with an order I must be notified within 48 hours of delivery confirmation. Please message me first to resolve any unforeseen issues before leaving any feedback. You mean a lot to me as my customer, and I am more than willing to work with you. Leaving critical feedback and comments should be reserved for shop owners that sell an item knowingly misrepresenting it, and for shops that do not answer you when you need to resolve an issue.

Like most sellers, I cannot accept returns for buyers remorse, or because the ring was more "dainty" than you expected, or if the color is slightly lighter than you expected (all monitors vary with regards to color). I also cannot accept returns for rings purchased in the wrong size, so be sure of your ring size prior to ordering. With regards to vintage items, I try and describe the item as accurately as possible and will point out any flaws that I do see. These are vintage items and will show wear...that's the beauty of a vintage piece. I am more than happy to answer any questions on an item before you make a purchase, and can certainly provide additional photos upon request.

Returns/refunds are handled on a case by case basis. If we agree on a return the money will be refunded when I receive the item back in the same condition I sent it, and the refund will not include the shipping costs. The customer is also responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to me, and must provide a tracking number and insurance. I have to ensure that I can resell an item if it returned, so these terms are non-negotiable.

I cannot be liable for any damage/changes made to items by other jewelers (ie. if you bring a ring you have purchased to be sized).

- Available on items that exceed the cost of $100.
- A down payment of 20% will reserve the item you wish to layaway, the down payment is non-refundable.
- Payments can be set up weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

RESERVING items...I will reserve for 48 hours only.

I try to describe my items as accurately as possible and provide photos as part of that description. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have on an item, or provide additional photos if you'd like.
