I wish there was an extra, super positive button to choose. These cups are amazing! They're so beautiful and I'm already attached to them and use them daily. Thank you also for the "surprise" added to my order. You're a generous and talented artist and you will see me in your shop again soon. Thank you!

Belle Epoque Pottery is made in Postbellum Atlanta and is happiness-certified.

Yours truly is Luba and I am surrounded by clay, quite literally, 24/7. I live in my studio and venture out for air only when my students throw me out or my husband bribes me with tales of cheesy fries.

This line of work is the product of years of experimentation with glaze materials, firing schedules and slip recipes. Some say the surface treatment looks like encaustic or plaster... but believe me, it's clay.

I love working with the smooth perfection of porcelain, and subsequently coating it with slips that resemble rust, corrosion and decay. The Belle Epoque name comes from a period in history characterized by the aristocracy's inability to deal with the grim reality of real, modern life, and, as a consequence, their retreat into a frivolous, fairy-tale kind of existence of their own making. On my pieces, the corrosion, if you will, is the rebellious real-life taking over what was once the luxurious splendor of the porcelain society.

Payment
Immediate payment through Pay Pal is always appreciated. Remember you can simply use your credit card through the Pay Pal interface.

If you prefer, you can reach me at my studio between noon and 8PM EST at 404-377-8033 and pay by credit card over the phone.

Please notify me at checkout if you are planning on sending a check or money order. Items will be shipped AFTER payment has cleared.

Unpaid transactions will be canceled after 3 days.

Georgia residents must pay sales tax of 7%. I'm ever so sorry!
Shipping
In my previous life I was Rosie the Packager. Accordingly, each piece will be lovingly packed in many layers of bubble warp, surrounded by packing peanuts inside a sturdy box. I do my best to recycle all clean packaging materials so please don't take offense if the peanuts don't match! I take excellent care to ensure items arrive safely!

Domestic orders are shipped via UPS Ground within 2-3 days. If it's a RUSH, please let me know. If you provide your email at Checkout, you will get an email with the UPS tracking number. All items are insured.

International orders will ship International Priority via USPS. You must contact me for international shipping prices at this time. Buyer is responsible for duties, fees, or taxes incurred upon receipt - I'm sorry, but I have no way to estimate those charges.

If your purchase is a gift, please convo that to me so that your recipient gets a gift card instead of a receipt in the box.
Refunds and Exchanges
Although very rare, damage can happen en-route. If your item arrives with the UPS guy's foot through it, please contact me immediately. I will either refund the price of the item or make you a replacement (your choice). But this can only happen if you keep the box and contents together until UPS comes back to retrieve it and complete the claim.

All of my pieces are totally happiness-certified. I will refund 100% of the cost if you are not satisfied with your item for any reason. If unsatisfied, contact me within five business days of receipt and return the item in the original package without damage. I will refund your money or exchange the item (you choose!) after I receive the work in the original package without damage. You will only be responsible for shipping charges.

I will do my best to make you happy. If anything is not as you expected, please contact me directly so that I can correct it.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom Orders
I happily do wedding registries, table settings, and other special orders. These clearly take advance notice and in most cases, a deposit. Please convo me so that we can set it up to your satisfaction.

Wholesale & Consignment
If you are a gallery or boutique store, please contact me for wholesale and consignment information.

Care
Dainty on top, and rugged around the edges, my work is both functional and durable. Handmade pottery can need a little extra love than the factory stuff. Items with vintage decals and lusters will love it if you hand wash them. Machine detergents can eventually wear them away. Items with precious metals and lusters should stay away from microwave ovens... for obvious sparkly reasons. Never put any handmade clay pieces on direct flame. For ovenware, pre-warming with the oven is required.

Legal Mumbo Jumbo
You can thank the lawyers for this bit of nonsense, but when you purchase anything from BelleEpoquePottery, you agree to hold the maker harmless from any loss, damage or injury due to any products purchased from us. Our maximum liability to you is the amount you paid for the item(s) purchased.
