About

How Zipper Land began

I was shopping in Macy's one day and stumbled upon a brooch that was made out of zippers. It was $40.00 and I didn't want to spend that amount of money on something I could create myself. After playing around with zippers for a couple weeks I decided to invest some money into vintage zippers on bay. I found a lady that had 6000 zippers in her basement that she had inherited from her grandmother whom own a sewing store for many years. The grand daughter had no use for the zippers for she did not even know how to sew.
The zippers arrived to my house in 25 pound boxes. At the time I remember thinking that I was crazy purchasing all these zippers with out knowing if my investment would pay off in the long run. Little did I know that I would be purchasing many more zippers in the near future. This is how my love for zippers began!

Welcome to my Land of Zippers, where vintage zippers are transformed into beautiful creations rather then trash in our landfills. When you visit my Land of Zippers you will find a variety of items that have been transformed from a simple old zipper. The experience will leave you wondering "is that really a zipper?"
Please remember 100% of my items are made out of old zippers that have been rescued from old cloths, grandmas basement or second hand vintage shops. I started my zipper business a little under two years ago and have quickly become to realize that there is nothing that I can't do with a dirty old zipper! Keep your eyes open for I am always creating new zipper designs and am open to any ideas that you may have!
