Announcement   **************************HOLIDAY SHIPPING DATE, AUG. 3rd***********************
I will be on holiday from July 29th to Aug 2nd. All items in my shop are in stock but will ship after August 2nd. Thank you for your patience and have a great Summer!

Thank you for visiting Berry Island! Here you'll find vintage china mosaics featuring enamel brooches, hand felted pom pom flowers, and the odd refurbished thrift shop find. My name is Stephanie and welcome to my shop, stay as long as you like.

Berry Island is an homage to my dad and his old fishing boat, which was named after the actual island where his uncle built it. I also like to give the illusion that I'm crafting away in my workshop on some stormy little island in the Pacific Northwest rather than at my kitchen table in a dry city in the foothills of the Rockies :D

All my goodies are crafted in a smoke free and one pet home. I welcome all your questions and if you have any special requests I'm happy to try and meet them.

Yay, my pom flowers are in the February issue of "Pregnancy and Newborn" magazine.
My pom pom flowers are also in the May issue of Brides magazine.
My pom pom flowers are featured in Felt magazine.

You can find me on Pinterest:

*Please read my policies regarding shipping, etc.

About

I love to craft wherever I am

Literally...I'll cross stitch in a waiting room, felt on the ferry, crochet on an airplane.
I started my shop after I worked at a charming store that had a mosaic counter top. All the customers loved that counter and so did I. So from that inspiration I taught myself how to make mosaics. My favorite medium to work with is the beach pottery I salvage on the island I grew up on, it's such a thrill when I find something other than white!
My pom pom flowers I started making years ago, they evolved from making felted acorns. I didn't like trying to make the felt ball fit the acorn cap anymore, but I still enjoyed making the ball so I plopped it on a stem, flowers born! I just love playing with different colours of wool, whether new or old.
So while I'm still a Vancouver Island girl at heart now you'll find me in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains with my helpful husband Mark, patient baby Spencer, and purring sidekick Patrice.
Thank you for stopping by!

My name is Stephanie. Welcome to Berry Island! Now Berry Island isn't actually where I live but it is a real place, it's where my dads fishing boat was built in the Canadian Pacific Northwest.

Hello, my name is Stephanie. I have always loved art ever since I could draw the best high heel shoes of all my elementary school contemporaries. Right now I enjoy sewing, mosaics, and felting, but I'm always looking for something new to try...next up is weaving.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
Payment
I expect payment via Paypal or Direct deposit within a reasonable time. Three days would be my maximum time frame to wait, unless I hear from you in a convo and we have made another arrangement.
There are no taxes.
Cancellation policy is asap, if you have changed your mind I would like to know within 24 hours.
Shipping
To keep shipping costs reasonable, I use Airmail via Canada Post. It reaches the customer in about 10-15 business days in North America and in approx. 15 business days for overseas, barring any holdups at customs of course.
If you would like it to reach you quicker or would like a tracking number please convo me to discuss an increase in the rate and I will adjust the amount accordingly.
Most one-of-a-kind items are sent with tracking in Canada and US.
I also have the ability to ship via USPS since I have found a local company that drives parcels to Montana to ship making arrival to my US customers faster. Sometimes I ship using this method on a case by case basis.
Buyers are responsible for all duties, taxes, levies or fees.
Refunds and Exchanges
If a package is damaged or lost please convo me and we can work something out, either a refund or a comparable item will be shipped.
Additional policies and FAQs
I welcome custom orders. The colours of my work is endless so if someone wants to steer me in their direction when it comes to something specific I love it.
I like to hammer out the details and then send you a link to your custom listing. Once paid in full I set to work on it promptly and depending on the size of the order can have it ready to ship in 3 days.
If for some reason you're not pleased just mail it back to me at your expense and I will refund your paypal minus etsy charges and shipping costs.
