Lovely work, really reminds me of the San Juan Islands back home in Washington State. Thank you so much!

About

Using wide-ranging media I delight in finding new ways to create wearable art, home decor items, wall art and lots more.

I am self-taught with the help of books and hands-on experience. Since 1989 I’ve developed my skills in ribbon and traditional embroidery, free motion machine work, painting and other interesting techniques. As I’ve blended styles and worked with these various crafts, my own distinctive look has evolved.
In January, 1995 I became a juried member of the New Brunswick Crafts Council in the category of textiles. I was chosen as the winner of the Gail MacManus Memorial Award presented annually to the most promising newly juried member of the crafts council which is dedicated to excellence.
All of my pieces are original and unique. I use wool, velvet and other interesting textiles along with ribbons, threads, painting dyes and other findings to create different effects. I design and make a fairly wide range of articles including doorstops, cushions, wall hangings and various wearable art, . I also paint landscapes and wildflowers using acrylics or water colour.
I live in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, which is a resort town settled by United Empire Loyalists in 1783. There are many lovely old houses in our town. Our home is 150 years old. My husband Jim, is a fifth generation boat builder who moved here from Maine in 1982.
