Plant dyed silk ribbons and cotton. Every batch is bespoke and made with dyes I make my self. I grow as much plant stock as I can and forage from friends gardens. However some items do need to be bought in and I only buy from substantial suppliers. I strongly believe in supporting small individual companies.
Every silk is torn to size, pressed and rolled once you have placed an order. I don't hold any pre-rolled stock. It is all done fresh especially for you. Time is taken with every detail ♡
Message me if you want shorter lengths or different colours as I might have some stashed away.

5 out of 5 starsThese crystal drops are perfectly formed. They are a great weight to get nice dangle on my wire tree. These are my second set and I am just as thrilled with them as the first set. I was absolutely blown away by the packaging. Truly stunning. I will be keeping most of what this package came in to display. Such care is taken over everything Nicola does. Order and you will be thrilled you did. This parcel brightened my day. Thanks so much! 🥰🥰🥰

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders
Mail me tell me your requirements and I will see what can do help.
Care instructions
My silks can be washed carefully by hand in cool water using a tiny amount of mild detergent. This might lighten the colour slightly. Line dry and iron on a silk setting.
Fray edges by using a pin and gently tease the threads to the side.
I wash and iron all my silks before sending out. If you want a more creased look gently spritz a fine spray of water from a distsnce. Scrunch the fabric and dry naturally.
Will I get the same colour again when ordering?
Each batch of ribbons will vary. I only use natural plant, flower or vegtables in my dyes. I make small batches at a time. I try my hardest to achieve the same colours but plants vary according to seasons and conditions. The best thing to do is buy enough for your project at one time from the same batch.
Will it be a block of one colour?
No. Most silks will have natural markings and I feel this adds to its character. The darker shades will always have mottling due to how the silk soaks up the dye. It gives the silk texture and added interest.
Custom and personalised orders
All custom orders will need to be paid for in advance. Made to order items and colours take up to 2 weeks to dispatch. These silks and cheesecloths are non refundable when samples have been sent out and colour agreed upon.
Wedding ribbons
When ordering for a wedding it is best to email me so I can help advise you on the amounts you might need. It is best to order all ribbons at the same time so they can be made from the same batch of dye. This will ensure the colour match throughout. Each batch can be slightly different as plants, trees or vegetables change through the seasons.
Measurements
All measurements are approximate. I try to keep to guidelines but some times changes can happen during the dying process.
Repeat Orders ~ Florists
I am going to be adding a discount code for people that do repeat orders. If you private message me your details I will add them to my contacts and send you the code.
Tracked Postage
I send my silks by first class royal mail/air mail. I don't do tracked items. I found people thought it was to expensive. I will do tracking on packages at an extra cost. Email me your order or send me a request before paying I will arrange this for you. All import or duties owing are the responsibility of the reciever. If these duties are not paid and the goods are returned no refund will be given.
Custom and personalised orders
For all custom orders that have been pre arranged and sample silks have been sent out and a colour has been agreed. These silks or cheesecloths are non refundable. Every effort would of been made on my part to ensure you were receiving the goods you had agreed upon.
Will the dye from the silks run?
This is a great question. I pre and post wash all my silks before there are steamed pressed and rolled. I try to ensure all colour runs clear. However some of the darker shades and reds could possibly run if left wet and pressed against something. Treat the ribbons as careful as you would your flowers.
I hold no responsibility in the very unlikely case it might happen.
Shade samples and Shoot offers.
I get asked daily for shade samples and to take part in shoots. I do not offer sample silks due to the fact the silks can change slightly from batch to batch depending on the season. As for shoots I have now decided to keep these to an absolute minimum. I price my silks and cotton fairly and do not over charge. I don't want to have to put up my prices to cover these costings. I want to offer my silks to everyone. I have taken part and given away lots of silks in the past with the promise of media coverage and photos and more often than not I have never recieved any. I want to work in good faith.
My company ethics
I truly believe in helping small & local businesses survive. I do not buy any of my materials direct from source. They all come from small run companies. Everything from my silk right down to my stickers. This obviously costs me slightly more but that cost is covered by me in my takings and not added it to a higher priced product. My prices are very realistic in comparison to many others. I want to be true to my self and fair to others. It may be feeds my soul rather than the bank but I'm Ok with that :)
