My creative journey began early. I was one of those kids you could entertain for hours with just crayons and paper. In middle school my interest in math and science took me away from art. But in high school my passions flipped again and I thought, "I really want to go to art school!" For those holding the purse strings this was not a "good" career choice, so instead I went to college on an Engineering track. While in school I had my moment of rebellion and switched majors to 'Nothing Useful'. Hah! Take that Mom and Dad! Wait, what? I can't get a job in Asian Philosophy?

I did eventually earn that useful degree in Chemical Engineering, followed by a PhD in Bioengineering. After my academics were complete, I worked in my field for over a decade. Although my experience in research was exhilarating, it was also exhausting and frustrating.

I reconnected with my artistic side because of my daughter. When she was small we both loved coloring and making things with beads. I started dabbling in wire wrapped jewelry, but the moment I lit up a torch was when I knew I'd found true love. That big whooshing sound my torch makes every time I light it still makes me absurdly happy. When the lab I was working for moved out of state in 2011, I took a deep breath and dove into my jewelry business full time.

Every item in my shop is designed and made by me, sole creator/maker. I give thoughtful attention to the design and craftsmanship of each piece. I believe that jewelry isn't a luxury. The right piece of jewelry expresses who we are to the world, makes us feel beautiful and can remind us we are loved. To my customers and would-be customers: I treasure you and our interactions.
