So beautiful together!
After the patterns were stamped I tested where to place the settings for the cabochons. Placing the stones just below center made the earrings more striking.

About

There and back again -- a creative journey.

My creative journey began early. I was one of those kids that could be entertained for hours with just crayons and paper. As I grew older my interest in math and science took me away from art. However, in high school my passions flipped again and I thought, "I really want to go to art school!" I was told that was *so not* happening. Instead I graduated from college with a degree in Nothing Useful. Hah! Take that Mom and Dad! Wait, what? I can't get a job in Philosophy?

Eventually I went back to school, earning a degree in Chemical Engineering followed by a PhD in Bioengineering. I worked in my field for over a decade. My PhD experience was exhilarating (and exhausting), but the work I did after completing my degree didn't inspire the same level of enthusiasm (designer E. coli paste, anyone?).

I reconnected with my artistic side after my daughter was born (we both loved crayons!). I found jewelry through wire wrapping, but when I first lit up a torch I knew I was hooked for good. I love the big whooshing sound my torch makes every time I light it (I used to call it 'therapy for my day job')! When the lab where I was working moved out of state in 2011, I took a deep breath and dove into my business full time.

Every item in my shop is designed and made by me, sole creator/maker. I give thoughtful attention to the details and construction of each piece to ensure excellent craftsmanship. It is my philosophy that jewelry isn't a luxury. The right piece of jewelry expresses who we are to the world, makes us feel beautiful and can remind us we are loved. To my customers and would-be customers -- I treasure you and my interactions with all of you. You nourish my soul. Thank you!

Creating jewelry began as a 'therapy' for my day job as a research scientist. It bloomed into a grand passion that took over my life in a great way. Big thanks you to all my customers! I thrive on my interactions with you lovely people.

Care instructions

On all items with color or patina, use a polishing cloth. Other pieces can be scrubbed with a soft toothbrush and dish soap. Silver and gold can be polished with extra fine steel wool ('0000'). Pearls need gentle treatment -- please avoid soap or anything acidic.

Resizing Rings

Please have your ring size measured before purchasing a ring. I will be happy to resize a stacking ring for you up to 1/2 size larger at no charge (you just pay shipping). Sizing down or or increasing the size drastically will cost $10 since essentially I will have to make a new ring.

Spinner rings cannot be resized. They are made-to-order and so are considered a 'final sale' item'. If you wish to return or exchange spinner rings there is a restocking fee of $25.
