I am Matthias, the designer behind bestcased. I didn’t just want our cases to be slim and protective; I wanted them to be unique and individual and make you feel good. I spend most of my time playing with colors to create artwork that’s protective and beautiful. By exploring my passion for graphic design and beauty and paying attention to yours I am continually growing a collection of designs which bring individuality and taste to your phone. We have design offices in Europe, Munich and Warsaw, and hand-press the phone cases in Wisconsin, USA and the United Kingdom.
What sets us apart from other phone case manufacturers is our artistry and creativity: we strive to achieve a piece of art which decorates the phone in a tasteful and brilliant way.
Our love for vintage and reviving forgotten designs is a big part of the inspiration when we are creating our items. Some of our designs are dating back to the 18th century, long before William Morris - the famous English textile designer - was born. His Strawberry Thief pattern is a wonderful classic and a prime example of how we have redesigned it. We found that the colors of the original design, whilst still looking great as big wallpaper today, seem somewhat dull and dated on a small and modern surface like a phone case. After digitally remastering and carefully recoloring the original artwork, the Strawberry Thief has now been catapulted from a dusty antique to a vibrant and modern accessory. We love it a lot ❤

Frequently asked questions
What are your cases made of? Are they recyclable?
Our cases are made out of polycarbonate (hard plastic) and the soft lining for tough cases of thermoplastic polyurethane, or TPU, which is an awesome mixture of hard plastic and soft silicone. The process of making these materials is very eco-friendly, and as a result, can solve VOC emission problems effectively. We've found that polycarbonate and TPU provide durability and excellent shock absorption while also being fully recyclable.
Are your Beskar cases made of genuine beskar steel?
No, they are printed. Neither are they made of any kind of Damascus steel or silver. As you might remember, Mandalorian beskar was gathered and cast in an Imperial smelter. We don't have an Imperial smelter. But we do have a 3D sublimation printer. This is the Way. Although the idea to make the cases out of real steel is tempting, it's certainly not very practical as it would make the phone very heavy and prevent it from wireless charging.
I am having trouble deciding if I should go with glossy or matte - what would you recommend?
Glossy is quite shiny and very vivid whereas matte is a little bit muted in colors. That means that the darkest part of the print will be not as deep as in the glossy version. It's only about the perceived contrast which is tiny bit less in the matte version. Most people prefer the gloss version as it is looking really stunning. If you don't want to show off with the phone case then maybe matte (which looks more understated) would suit you better. But matte is also a little bit more slippery! Gloss sticks better to your hand (similar to holding a glass of wine) whereas matte is more like holding something wrapped in silk! That is the best comparison we can make. Matte finish is very smooth, very pleasant to hold but a tad more slippery.
Do you have a warranty on your products? What is it?
All of our cases come with a lifetime guarantee. If you do break it for any reason at all, we’ll replace it free of charge. We want you to love your case. Part of loving it is knowing that we have your back, even if it's your fault!
Do your cases support wireless charging? How about MagSafe?
All our cases support wireless charging. The iPhone 12 cases also work with MagSafe.
When will my order ship?
All of our items are made to order and the production times (the time it takes us to make the item) range between 1-5 business days. During the busy time leading up to the holidays we experience longer production (7-10 working days) and shipping times.
North American orders ship from our workshop in Wisconsin, US. European orders ship from our workshop in Italy (apart from UK orders which ship from England). Asian orders ship from our workshop in Australia.
On average deliveries take about 3 business days in the UK/US and a week to other parts of the world.
How can I track my order?
We’ll send an email to you with tracking information as soon as your package leaves our shop. If you didn't receive a shipping confirmation email or have any questions about your order, please send us an email at support@bestcased.com or contact us via Etsy convo.
I need to edit my order before it ships!
Yikes! Isn’t that the worst when you think everything is just right... and then it isn’t? Reach out to us as soon as possible with the correct information by sending us a message via Etsy convo and include your order number and all information you need updated - we will see what we can do!
I received/ordered the wrong case! What now?
No problem! Human errors happen sometimes. If we sent you the wrong case let us know within 30 days of the delivery date and we will gladly provide a replacement free of charge. If you made a mistake while ordering, don't worry, we will find a solution too. Please contact us via Etsy convo and send us the following information:
- Order number
- A photo of the inside of the case showing the product code marked on it so we can tell what was sent.
- A photo of the back of the case showing the printed picture.
- A screenshot of the phone settings which will show the model and make.
