Announcement   APRIL 2017- I'm currently accepting no new commission work for the remainder of the month, except for those already in discussion. I'm going to finish up existing orders, and plan on spending time making new work for my shop, so check back throughout April!

One of a kind, artisan jewelry. Hand fabricated in silver and gold, featuring agates, jaspers, pearls and semi precious stones. I've been a full time metalsmith and jewelry maker for the past 30 years and still love what I do. I hope you will too!

Another stunning piece from Betsy!!! I've had so many compliments already! I should also mention the boxes Betsy puts her jewelry in are amazing! I can't wait to purchase more!

I special-ordered this ring from Betsy. It was intended as a birthday gift for my daughter. She got this 100% right, and got it done on time! This is my daughter wearing the ring. She loves it!!

About

in the beginning...

I've always loved making things, and from the start, art class was simply the best part of the school day for me. But when I got to college I tried everything. Alongside art classes I was dabbling in biology, astronomy, even auto mechanics... and eventually chose to major in Anthropology with an Art minor. What I ended up with, after 5 years, was a degree in Art History.

My career path took shape in the metals department of the Oregon College of Art and Craft, where I was searching for something that would satisfy my desire to make things and my tendency to be detail oriented. It took several years and lots of patience before I finally felt that I had found my place.

Over the years, my work has come to focus on the stones that I love, the non-precious stones, the jaspers and agates. Every now and then I think " hmm, maybe I should have majored in geology...".

The bottom line is, I love what I do, and look forward to getting into my studio every morning.
