What is the definition of truly special earrings? Earrings you aren't even wearing. You're enjoying looking at them and touching them too much to put them in your ears. Seriously, I love these. As usual, they arrived in a lovely decorated gift box. The post backs are perfectly situated in just the right spot, too. Betsy also reworked a Morrisonite ring for me and made it East-West; it is a treasure.

About

in the beginning...

I've always loved making things, and from the start, art class was simply the best part of the school day for me. But when I got to college I tried everything. Alongside art classes I was dabbling in biology, astronomy, even auto mechanics... and eventually chose to major in Anthropology with an Art minor. What I ended up with, after 5 years, was a degree in Art History.

My career path took shape in the metals department of the Oregon College of Art and Craft, where I was searching for something that would satisfy my desire to make things and my tendency to be detail oriented. It took several years and lots of patience before I finally felt that I had found my place.

Over the years, my work has come to focus on the stones that I love, the non-precious stones, the jaspers and agates. Every now and then I think " hmm, maybe I should have majored in geology...".

The bottom line is, I love what I do, and look forward to getting into my studio every morning.
