This beauty is wearing the brown leather wrap choker from my shop. It is so fun to see people from all over wearing Bevin Bold Jewelry.
I spent the morning styling a photo shoot for my upcoming "Seasons Collection." Expect to see beautiful tassel necklaces chains, chokers, and leather. I can hardly wait to reveal this new jewelry collection.
I really like the wire nest necklace I made for a mother of two today. As I weave the wire in and out, I wonder what her life is like. Is she calm and collected or is she mostly frazzled during this season of life? I hope this necklace makes her smile.

About

For as long as I can remember I have loved to create! As a little girl, I spent hours in my walk-in closet transforming sticks of gum into earrings, pennies into glued-together bracelets, flowers into crowns... Creating is always where I have thrived.

In 2008, my husband and I moved to northern Iraq to live among the Kurdish people. These beautiful people had historically been forced from their homes, living nomadically from place to place. Most of the people were just surviving - not thriving and definitely not creating. With a suitcase full of beading supplies, I looked for opportunities to hold jewelry classes for the Kurdish women and children. It was always so rewarding to see these women come alive as they allowed their creativity to emerge.

After four years of living in northern Iraq, my husband and I moved back to the States. As we traveled from place to place, living in a camper, my urge to create was stronger than ever. I decided to go out on a limb, open an Etsy shop and just see what would come of it. To my surprise, it took off! I'm so thankful for my husband who was patient and supportive during a season of our lives when every nook and cranny of our tiny camper was constantly strewn with beads and jewelry-making supplies.

I find the inspiration for my designs in so many random places. The bold color of a vintage pair of blue heels inspired a cobalt and neon piece, while leopard-print carpet in my playroom led to a black and gold multi-strand necklace. When I think of the shiny, sparkly dresses worn by Kurdish women at weddings, I tell myself, "USE MORE COLOR!" I once bought a Matryoshka bead because it reminded me of my time spend in Uzbekistan, and that little bead inspired to my best-selling Matryoshka bracelet... Inspiration is truly to be found everywhere!

Etsy has been a HUGE blessing in my life. My Etsy shop allows me the freedom to stay home with my favorite two kiddos, while contributing financially to our household AND fulfilling my desire to create. Thank YOU, my dear customer for allowing me to do what I love. May you too use your talents and giftings to the fullest.

With So Much Love and Gratitude,

Bevin Bold
