Geeky Accessories with traditional touches.

This is a one woman show, run from my home near the US capital. In addition to doing online sales, I regularly attend anime, comic book and general geek conventions all around Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

I've been crafting and creating art since I was old enough to hold a crayon and haven't stopped making a royal mess since then.

I love to create jewelry, especially those with geeky themes that are hard to find in retail stores. So far I've learned to do metal stamping, custom cutting, soldering and other torch work, chain maille, gemstone setting, and enameling and I'm always looking for new skills to add to my repertoire to create one-of-a-kind designs.

I love to work with customers to collaborate on unique creations, so please don't be shy about messaging me if you have an idea you'd like to see.

My items are made in a pet-free, smoke-free environment. I strive to use environmentally friendly packaging and source materials (including gemstones) from USA-based and fair trade certified businesses.

Welcome to my little corner of Etsy!

I love custom orders, so please feel free to message me with an idea if you don't see exactly what you would like in my listings, want a piece of jewelry in a different metal, would like a different chain, etc. I hand make each and every piece and would love to work with you to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

I am normally in my office/studio M-F from 9:30-5:30pm EST and again around 9pm to finish up any paperwork and communications. I will generally answer any conversations within a few hours, but there may be a longer delay if I am involved in a complex or messy project or if you message me during non-office hours.

I work in a pet-free and smoke-free environment. My products are packed and shipped in eco-friendly, recyclable materials.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Returns and exchange details
REFUNDS and REPLACEMENTS

If you have received the wrong item, please contact me right away so I can reship the corrected order. You do not need to ship the incorrect order back.

I will replace items that have a defect I did not notice before shipping if you send me pictures of the damaged product within three (3) days after the package is marked as delivered. ** Slight stamp misalignment, minor tool artifacts, or slight discrepancies in coloring are NOT defects, but merely part of the process of handmade jewelry. Items marked AS-IS in the description are exempt from replacements ** You do not need to ship the defective order back

I will replace items that were damaged in transit if you send me pictures of the damaged product AND the damaged packaging within three (3) days after the package is marked as delivered by the USPS. You do not need to ship the damaged order back.

**Refunds will only be issued at my sole discretion and for International Customers**

RETURNS and EXCHANGES

I do not accept returns on CUSTOM items with customer chosen text or personalization. If the item is damaged or defective, please see the replacement policy above.

I accept returns on standard MADE-TO-ORDER or READY-TO-SHIP items (those without personalized text and chosen from available options) but shipping costs are not refundable. You must contact me via Etsy conversation before returning an item. Items must be returned in new, unworn condition, in the original packaging and must be postmarked within 3 business days of the item being marked as delivered by the USPS. (EU based customers, please refer to EU policies).

I do not allow exchanges, except under my sole discretion.

MISSING AND DELAYED PACKAGES

- USA -

I get USPS tracking on all shipments and send it with the Etsy shipping notice.

If the USPS has not marked the package as delivered, I will follow up with the postal service and wait five (5) business days to allow them time to locate the package. I highly suggest the customer contact their local post office and ask them to GPS track the package as well. If the USPS cannot locate the package or determines that the package has been destroyed, I will create a replacement item for you.

If the USPS marked the package as delivered, you must contact your local post office to locate the package via GPS. I am not responsible for mail theft, USPS error or Mail Carrier misconduct and you must discuss the issue with your local post office or police department as appropriate. I am happy to provide information to the USPS or police if you need my assistance filling out the appropriate paperwork. Once I have sufficient proof that the appropriate paperwork has been filed, we can discuss a replacement shipment.


- INTERNATIONAL-

Tracking is not universally available across all international borders.

You are responsible for contacting your local customs or mail service if a package is not delivered in a timely manner. I will replace or refund a package if you provide proof that your package was destroyed or declared lost by your local postal service. (EU customers, please refer to EU policies)

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY IMPORT TAXES AND CUSTOM FEES AS CITIZENS OF THE COUNTRY IN WHICH THEY RESIDE.

- ADDRESS ISSUES -

Shipping labels use exactly what is entered by the customer, so please double-check your address and other information before completing your purchase. Refunds will not be issued for packages delivered to the wrong address due to customer error, if you want the item to be reshipped, you will have to pay for the second label.

SALES TAX

I am proudly based in Virginia and must collect Virginia and County Sales Taxes (6%) on orders originating in Virginia and according to state laws of the state and county in which the customer resides.

CANCELLATIONS

I will accept cancellations for a full refund within 24 hours of your purchase. I am happy to answer questions, provide samples or discuss options before you order.

PAYMENT

I never receive your bank account or credit card information. If you believe that someone is fraudulently using your account or you see charges that you are not familiar with, please contact ETSY help services directly.
Shipping
I will ship only to the address that you supply upon checkout. If you need an entirely different address, I will cancel the order and refund and you must repurchase. Etsy does not allow me to edit the shipping address for their labels.

Processing times on item listings is for the time it takes to lovingly create and package the item. This does NOT include time the package spends in transit, so please consider USPS shipping times when choosing when to order your desired item.

USA

Items shipped to domestic addresses are shipped USPS First Class Parcel unless otherwise specified or the customer purchases a Priority shipping upgrade. If you would like a different shipping method (FedEx, UPS, or USPS Express/Overnight), please contact me before ordering so I can make you a custom listing with the proper shipping information. Tracking info is sent with the Etsy shipping notice.

During the holiday season, actual transit times for packages may increase although the processing time for orders does not. Please keep this in mind and allow extra time for packages to reach their destination in December and around Valentine's and Mother's Day.

INTERNATIONAL

International packages are shipped via USPS First-Class Package International Service whenever possible. International shipping may also take a extra 2-4 weeks depending on the country and customs department, so if you are ordering for a holiday or gift please take the extra processing time into account.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY IMPORT TAXES AND CUSTOM FEES AS CITIZENS OF THE COUNTRY IN WHICH THEY RESIDE. The shipping cost you pay at checkout is for the shipping label itself and packaging materials. I will not mark merchandise as a 'gift' as this is fraudulent and I can be prosecuted, fined and/or jailed per occurrence.

Communication regarding orders on Etsy will only take place via Etsy Conversation to protect customers and myself in case of dispute.

Emailing, calling or messaging me via social media for an Etsy related matter will not get your questions answered faster as I will redirect the conversation back to Etsy. In the event that a phone call, Skype or other verbal conversation takes place, it will not supersede any written communication via Etsy Conversation.

I reserve the right to refuse any custom order or customization on items. I believe very strongly in equality and social justice and will refuse, cancel and refund any orders that promote intolerance, violence or hatred.

FAQ:

Do you make the parasols yourself?
I paint the parasols myself and add other embellishments. I purchase the parasol base at wholesale.

Where do you buy your (X)?
I do not answer these types of questions.

Can you do a shipment of X parasols for a wedding?
That really depends on how much time you give me and how much money you are willing to spend. I need at least 1 week for every 5 painted parasols you request. So if you want 50 parasols, you need to request a custom order at least 3 months before your wedding.
