Announcement   Welcome to St. Louis Wax Works, a division of St. Louis based Be You Be Me Studio! Always expanding my mind and interests, welcome to my ever-evolving world of wax! Here I produce a variety of landscapes, seascapes and skylines in the ancient form of encaustic painting.

Encaustic painting uses a mixture of beeswax, damar resin, and oil pigments to create layers if colored wax the artist applies using a variety of hot tools. The layers are then fused together using a high heat or flame.

All items are accurately photographed and described to the best of my ability. Please always keep in mind changes in lighting and color occur not only on individual monitors and screens, but the paintings themselves are transparent layers that shift and change color with different lighting.

Because encaustic paints are made from renewable resources (beeswax, wood) it is eco friendly- as well as completely archival! (In normal environmental conditions.)

Commissions are welcome, just send me a message!
I'm happy to receive comments or questions, thank you!

Payment
Payment is accepted via PayPal or Cash Only Locally; shipping depends on where you would like it shipped and may vary.

I usually undercharge on shipping, but in the case that shipping charges are more than the actual cost the buyer will be refunded that difference. Multiple items can be grouped together for a reduced rate.
I weigh all my items and price them EXACTLY to their weight for the lowest possible shipping rate. In the case that a seller overpays in shipping, I ALWAYS issue a refund for the leftover amount.

Once I have received payment, I will ship (or deliver) your piece to you the next very available workday. We will make contact to work out the most convenient time for you.
Shipping
Unless instructed otherwise, your item(s) will ship to the address you have registered with Etsy.

Once I have received payment, I will ship your purchase to you in 1-3 workdays. I will send you shipping and tracking information immediately upon shipment.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the one of a kind nature of our original artworks, all sales are final. We do not offer returns or exchanges. We are not responsible for any piece lost, damaged, or in any other way altered in shipment. You must take that up with the mail service with your tracking number on your own. If you do not have or have lost your tracking number, we are happy to send it to you.
