Welcome to Big Twig Design – a small handmade business built around the idea that enjoying the little things is the key to a happy life. The little things found here are crafted in my home studio in Manchester, Connecticut with a local and environmentally friendly motive.

Paper crafts have always been a constant in my life, most notably in the form of handmade cards. After graduating college with a degree in graphic design, I began exploring other handmade avenues and combined them with my lifelong passion for craftsmanship — and Big Twig Design was born. While I aim for functionality, my products are designed purely to make people happy, including myself.

My heart is in the woods. I became attracted to rustic style from summer trips to the Adirondack Mountains in Northern New York. The area takes me to a different realm where everything is peaceful and inspiring. I grew up in Southeastern Pennsylvania, where rolling hills and pastures are just a short drive from towns steeped in historical relevance. This has shaped my aesthetic into something of an eclectic brew of old and new, organic and geometric, and guided by nature.

It is important to me to use local, American-made, and eco-friendly materials as often as possible. I source many of my supplies from other Etsy shops and occasionally incorporate natural objects that I collect outdoors in an environmentally responsible way.

I aim to bring wonder and happiness to people's everyday lives. To me, it is all about the details, no matter how subtle or bold. Designing and crafting is my life and I want nothing more than to share my passion with others.
