Here at Bihoku, we love Japanese textiles.
From our home in a small village north of Hiroshima, it is our pleasure to seek out beautiful Japanese textiles from an array of artisans and dealers. We are proud to support traditional Japanese industry.
It is our mission to provide the very best in beautiful fabrics to buyers like you. Each piece is handpicked, interesting and unique, with its own exciting history and significance. Our speciality is seeking out bolts (tan) of wonderful Japanese silk from the famous weaving centres of the Kansai area, and all across Japan. Please let us know if you require a specific colour, weave or design, andwe will do our best to find the perfect fabric for you.
Please note that each tan is a complete work of art in itself, designed to be used in its entirety to create a single kimono. For this reason, we are unable to cut or divide any complete tan. However, if you let us know what kind of fabric you require, we will attempt to find it for you in a shorter length.
