Announcement    Welcome to my store featuring jewelry made from silver, leather, glass, beads and other organic findings that invoke the sand-filled streets of Africa and beyond.
I am born and raised in Senegal on the west coast of Africa, living in New York City. My cousin Adama in M'Bour, Senegal makes the more traditional and nomad style pieces from my culture and I create the more modern designs that reflect my inspirations from my home country and the city I live in.
There have been many new shops coming up on Etsy that are owned by Europeans or other non-Africans and if you examine closely you will discover that they are "re-sellers" of African jewelry. I have been selling on Etsy since 2007 and be assured that when you buy from my shop the proceeds go directly back to Africa and my family there. I am going to Senegal soon, so if you have any special wishes for any vintage or traditional pieces let me know and I will see if I can find it for you!
