Purchased as a Christmas present for a family member and she absolutely loves it. She says it’s just the right size for the things she always carries round and it looks lovely on her. I was there when she opened it and it’s one of those things that makes your heart leap, it’s so beautifully made. Buying experience was great, order acknowledged and delivered promptly. Will be treating myself to something soon!

Living in a country different to , especially , grand children means you need to rely on online shopping for those special treats that you cannot provide on a daily basis. So when I came across this Foxy bag I immediately thought of my grand daughter and purchased one straight away. Having completed my order I realised that Mr Google was sending it to her father but a message to Danielle ensured that the delivery name was altered. 3 days later I received a Whats App photo of a smiling young lady wearing her Foxy bag with the simply message " grandad I love it". Thank you ever so much Blackbird Leather for making quality products at a price that allows people like me to put a smile on my grand children's face.

Hello I’m Danielle from Blackbird Leather, I live on the Isle of Wight with my husband and 2 children. I’m picked up this skill which I discovered towards the end of 2019. I began working with leather when my husband came home from work one day and said he had been given a few bits of leather and tools from a man in the studio next to his, as he was moving away and couldn’t take it all with him. My husband has always been very creative and he gave it a go, I used to watch with great interest, so decided to try it out myself. This was the moment when something just clicked inside of me and I haven’t looked back since. It’s been a breath of fresh air to find my creative side and I have finally found my hobby that I truly love 🧡
A little bit about my products...
I handcraft various items such as crossbody and belt bags, wallets, card holders, animal themed coin bags, keyrings and more. I’m always thinking of new products to add to my range. The leather I use is sourced from sustainable tanneries and I prefer to use vegetable tanned leather, which is a more ethical and environmentally friendly way of producing and tanning. Natural materials are used in the the tanning process, as opposed to solvents and chemicals.
Each of our items are individually handcrafted. All of our products have been cut, dyed, assembled and stitched by hand. Therefore each product may slightly differ to the next.
Leather is a natural product and will always have natural markings such as scars, scratches,dents, wrinkles or blemishes. These should not be seen as defects or flaws, as this is what makes each item beautiful and unique.
