We're Jody and Karl, the duo behind Blackbird Supply Co. Since 2008, we've been specializing in small batch printing of original designs onto ethically manufactured, and thoughtfully curated, goods. Returns and exchanges

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
If you are for ANY reason unhappy with your purchase, or if you require a different size or style, we welcome both returns and exchanges (on non-custom made, non-closeout items). To qualify for either, your items must meet the below criteria:

1. You must contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.
2. Items are in their ORIGINAL SELLING CONDITION, showing absolutely no signs of wear and tear.
3. Items are completely free of all odors, including but not limited to perfume, cologne, cigarette smoke, and pet odors/pet hair.

If we receive return or exchange items that fail to meet the above guidelines, the offer to exchange or refund your original purchase may be voided. Feel free to contact us here on Etsy or via e-mail (hello@blackbirdsupply.com) with any additional questions relating to returns and exchanges.

PLEASE NOTE:

We DO NOT cover the cost of return shipping unless we've made a mistake on your order, or the item received was defective and/or damaged. However, for pre-approved exchanges, we DO cover the cost to ship your replacement item(s).

We currently accept payments through Etsy Direct Checkout, which includes most major credit cards as well as Paypal payments.

➤ ALL CUSTOMERS:

Our general processing time, unless otherwise stated within an individual listing, is 1-3 business days. Please keep in mind that this is in addition to the shipping times listed below.

If you have any questions related to shipping and/or delivery times we highly recommend you contact us BEFORE you make your purchase.

If you've placed an order and need to change your shipping address, please contact us immediately. We are happy to update this information prior to shipment. Unfortunately, if an old/incorrect address has been provided, and the order has been marked as shipped, we are NOT responsible for any resulting loss or damage.

➤ DOMESTIC (US):

All shipping rates are calculated based on item weight and destination. Multiple shipping options are available at checkout. Our default shipping method is USPS First Class service, which averages 3-5 business days. Priority Shipping is slightly quicker at 2-3 business days. Please keep in mind that these are US Postal service estimates--not guarantees. The only guaranteed USPS service is Priority Express. Shipping time for this expedited service is 1-2 business days. Cost starts at $22 and varies depending on item weight and shipping destination.

➤ INTERNATIONAL:

International orders are shipped via USPS First Class Airmail with insurance. Depending on the destination, international packages can take anywhere from 3-5 weeks to arrive, but the vast majority arrive within 8-15 business days. Unfortunately, we cannot make any ship time guarantees for international deliveries.

Please take into account that items may be held for additional import/VAT fees in your country of residence. These fees are separate from your purchase with us, and it is your responsibility to pay them. Claiming a lower value or marking the parcel as a "gift" (even if you're purchasing items for someone else) to avoid these fees is illegal, so please do not ask us to do so.

Please note that our shipping charge only covers the cost to ship and insure your items. It does not cover any additional brokerage fees and/or import taxes you may incur.

Sizing details

We use several different shirt styles/brands in our shop, so please take the time to check measurements carefully prior to purchase. They can be found in one of two places:

ITEM DETAILS:

KIDS TEES:

Our manufacturers only make even aged sizes (i.e. 2T, 4T, 6T). We suggest sizing up if you're on the cusp.

How do I add additional kid's tees to a t-shirt set?

If you're purchasing one of our parent/child t-shirt sets and want to add more kid's tees to the order, you can find the appropriate links to do so within the "Item Details" section of the listing (on mobile, you may need to click to expand).

You can also go to the "kids" section of our shop to find the individual listings.

How long will it take to receive my items?

Our general processing time is 1-3 business days. Please keep in mind that this is in addition to the shipping times listed below.

All orders are shipped via US Postal Service, and are insured against loss or damage.

DOMESTIC:

First Class: 3-5 business days (estimated)
Priority: 2-3 business days (estimated)
Priority Express: 1-2 business days (guaranteed)

INTERNATIONAL:

First Class: 2-5 weeks (estimated) depending on destination.
Please Note - you may be charged additional VAT/import and brokerage fees when your items arrive. These are separate from your purchase with us, and it's your responsibility to pay them.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Gift wrap is available for purchase during checkout. You will also have the opportunity to add a small note for the recipient. All gift orders are wrapped carefully and neatly with brown kraft paper, stamped with a decorative logo, and tied with string.

Care instructions

Because all of the items in our shop are hand printed, we highly recommend washing on a cold setting and allowing shirts to air dry. This is the best way to preserve both the shirt and the print over time. If necessary, it's safe to tumble dry on a low or delicates setting.

Our tea towels would be the one exception to this rule. They can be washed in warm water and dried on a higher setting.
