Announcement   As the Wu-Tang clan once said “Cash Rules Everything Around Me.” No matter who is in control, we can choose to put our money towards making the world a better place. This month we want to use our money to back up the battle for civil rights.

We will be donating 100% of our profits from each paper print you purchase during the month of February to the ACLU {American Civil Liberties Union} On top of that we will match up to $1,000, and make it a double donation!

If you don’t want art, but still want to help, you can donate to the ACLU yourself by clicking the link below.

Thank you for being a part of this
and adding to the good in the world!

Black Ink Art is the partnership of Philadelphia based mixed media artists and brothers Jon and David Swartz.

We both graduated from Temple University's Tyler School of Art with degrees in graphic design. Soon after, we also both came to the realization that we would rather follow our passion to paint and work as freelance illustrators rather than pursue a traditional design career. Thanks to the support of fans like you, we have been successful with this so far and can dedicate ourselves full-time to doing what we love.

If you have any questions about the artwork, please send us a message here on Etsy or on Facebook. We'd love to hear from you! Thanks for looking!

We purchased Ron when BlackInkArtz came to the Dogwood festival in Atlanta a few years ago, and I am so so happy to finally have the rest of the news team assembled by his side. All we need now is Veronica and our display is complete!

About

Surreal Mixed Media Art by the Swartz Brothers

Black Ink is the partnership between Philly-based artists Jon and David swartz. The name “Black Ink” was thought up to pay homage to the family name Swartz. The name can be traced back to German roots, and when translated it means “black.” Black Ink is the Swartz brothers incorporated.

The brothers have always been drawing and painting. Both went to the Creative and Performing Arts high school in Philadelphia, and went on to graduate from Tyler School of Art with degrees in Graphic Design. After college they began to sell their work at music and art festivals across the country, turning their love for art, music, and travel into a career.

Heavily inspired by all types of music, different cultures, and other artists; they work in mixed media to create surreal worlds, where the only limit is their imagination.
