About

Kooky Spooky Art: Taking the scary and making it merry.

I started my "Kooky Spooky Art" project way back in 2004, but I have been crafting from an early age. Ever since I can remember I've always loved creating art for my friends and family and was encouraged to make my art to sell.

I really got into making cute and creepy things when I got into the Gothic subculture when I was 17 and was dubbed "Spooky" by my best friend. Ever since then, I have been making "kooky" and "spooky" art.

I opened up my Etsy shop back in 2009 (under the name "Blackthorne Rose Creations/BlackthorneRose") and mostly sold jewelry at first. Then I started sculpting cute little zombies I dubbed "Zombikins" and gained some popularity with them.

I decided in 2013 to revamp my Etsy store and finally merge my projects under one name: Kooky Spooky Art. I have a website in the works and hope to keep creating some fun, cute and creepy art for everyone to enjoy. :)
