About

Doing what I love!

I love being surrounded by cute things. At this point it's an addiction and I'm okay with that. I also like to make little cute things like hair bows, jewelry and little art pieces. I also go under the name miki_the_artist.

In 2007 I had the pleasure to visit Tokyo, Japan a place I had only known about through anime, movies and books. Needless to say I was in love. Not only is it a beautiful country but their appreciation for the kawaii was wonderful. Kawaii is a Japanese term meaning cute.

In 2009 after my second visit to Tokyo I knew I wanted to have a shop that allowed me to share my love of having cute things around all the time. Thus black tulip shop was born.

With the items in my shop a smile and happy feeling is what I'm after. I want the black tulip shop customer to smile when they receive their order and smile even more when they open the package.

Returns and exchanges

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Refunds are not offered for custom orders.

If you are not happy with an item, please contact me as soon as possible.
You may return your order, refunds are for purchase price ONLY, not including shipping. The buyer is responsible for all shipping cost.
Returns must be made within 3 days of package delivery.
Items must be returned in original condition with all packaging and in salable condition. Items that smell strongly (smoke, pet odor, etc.) and/or stained are therefore unsellable, will not be accepted.

If you receive an item that has been damaged in shipping, please contact me as soon as possible.
A refund will be issued ONLY if you return the broken item to me WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAYS of the date you first received it. A replacement or refund will be made when I receive the item back.

If the item show up as delivered on the USPS website we will work with you on locating the package but there is nothing we can do about it. You must contact you local post office for further information.

I accept PayPal and credit card through direct checkout only.

If you live in the state of Georgia, you will be charged sales tax.

All PayPal payments must be received within 24 HOURS of purchase.

Please do not click the Commit To Buy button unless your are willing to buy a item at that moment.

Shipping
All packages will be shipped by USPS within 24-48 hours once the payment has cleared.
If an item is bought on the weekend or holiday it will be shipped out on the available next business day.
If you require a tracking number, insurance or confirmation there will be an additional charge, so please message me. Combining shipping is available on some orders.

Please note that shipments sent out of the US may take up to 14-21 business days or longer to arrive.
Shipment sent to South America and other areas with postal issues your shipment may take 30+ days.
International customers are responsible for all import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country.

If you would like expedited shipping please message me before making your purchase there will be an extra charge.

If an item is received back to me because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided by you, the customer or to PayPal/Etsy the following rules apply.
Once I receive the package back you may cancel your order, if applicable.
There is a 45 days time limit to cancel orders on Paypal.
You will be refunded the item amount only and not the shipping expense. You may also have the package resent.
You will receive a PayPal invoice for the postage and an e-mail will be sent to confirm the new address.
Your order will be resent upon payment of the PayPal Shipping Invoice.
