Geek Fantasies Made Reality

They say that idle hands are the devil's workshop, and I never much fancied being idle. There was a time in my life where I was in that miserable percentage of Americans that were unemployed, yet I could stand the thought of doing nothing. So I got into crafting -- knitting, crochet, haberdashery... -- and if I sat on the couch watching telly, I was knitting a Doctor Who scarf while I did it. At the end of the summer, I had a stash of Harry Potter scarves and Jayne hats and geeky little knits that I was proud to share, to sell. Online, at faires, conventions... Any place that I knew someone would know and love my creations, I laid them out. I do it with my heart, and I enjoy the joy it brings my fellow geeks when they get a little tangible piece of fiction to call their very own.

I'm constantly working on new products, designing new shirts, experimenting with amigurumi patterns, and exploring new ways to bring joy to my customers. Some of these are dying arts, and I'm happy to keep them alive with my own love of fiction.

When I'm not crafting or perusing patterns, I can be found role-playing on Twitter, punching out code for my website or a game I'm building, doodling fanart or writing my own novels and comic books, hoping that one day I, too, will have a fandom that brings people together.

Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by! I'm glad you're enjoying the shop, and are interested in doing business here. Let me tell you a bit about myself...

I've been artistically inclined for pretty much my entire life. Dad taught me to do cross stitching at a young age, I started writing in middle school, fell in love with knitting and crochet somewhere in high school, and have been drawing and coloring for as long as I can remember. I'm always trying to learn new things, so you'll notice that there are always new products here and there. Not only do I keep the shop interesting, it helps me keep my creativity fresh and new. Please be sure to come back, because you'll never know what I post next!

Returns and exchange details
All of my handmade products come with a lifetime warranty! Be it plush or knitwear, just send me the product with a note telling me what's wrong with it, and I'll repair or replace it the best I can. My ideal goal is your eternal satisfaction with what little piece of joy I can give to you.

I do not do cash/monetary refunds, however. This is still an indie shop, and something I do on the side to supplement my income. If you are dissatisfied with the product you purchased (which I have yet to happen!), we can see about exchanging it for another item or for store credit.

Be good to your products, and they'll be good to you! I also do repair work for some knit and crochet products, if someone else's piece is falling apart, depending on difficulty. There will be a service charge with this, naturally.
Payment
My preferred method is through Etsy, for the simple fact that it's safest. I am open to trades, provided you have something I don't mind trading for. As Rumpelstiltskin says, "When two people have something the other one wants, a deal can always be made". I generally try to keep the pricing the same for simplicity's sake. I just ask that you pay for shipping!
Shipping
I expect payment before I will deliver the product. The sooner you pay, the sooner it ships. Custom orders may require partial payment upfront to cover the cost of supplies. If you need emergency shipping, let me know and I'll see if there is anything I can do -- sometimes it is not an option. Please note when purchasing a product that if it's "Made to Order", it will take longer. I ship as soon as I can, but please order accordingly -- Harry Potter scarves take weeks, and Doctor Who scarves take MONTHS to make. I generally only put up listings when an item is already in stock, but custom orders will take longer.

If you are in the Los Angeles area and would like to save on shipping, we could arrange a meet up! Keep in mind that it's important to be a bit paranoid on the internet - some people aren't who they say they are. I will never ask to meet you in your own home, and will always meet you in a public place. If anyone asks you to do otherwise, be wary.
Additional policies and FAQs
Keep in mind that plushies take a while to craft, and that knitwear takes longer still. The Baker scarf takes 2-3 months when it's my sole priority! If you order custom, I will do my best to fulfill the order, but remember that I'm an artist with an e-mail, not a soothsayer with a crystal ball (I do tarot, but I'm not that good) - please express as well as you can what you're looking for. Pictures are the absolute best! But also be sure to leave room for artistic judgement; some colors just don't go together, and if you try to jam too many things into one project, it can be too 'busy' and unattractive. We can work together to find something that's just PERFECT for you.

All of my handmade products have a lifetime warranty! Be it plush or knitwear, just send me the product with a note telling me what's wrong with it, and I'll repair or replace it the best I can. My goal is your eternal satisfaction with what little piece of joy I can give to you. If you order a shirt that is the wrong size, I'm afraid I can't take returns (it's push-printed, I don't keep a stock myself), but I can get a new one ordered for you, at cost. I wish I could do more, but I often don't have much liquid to work with.
