I don't know why, but I've tried two different scented candle brands and their candles didn't produce any scent, so when I did get this in the mail and burned it at home I was so excited that it did create a scent! I don't think it smells exactly like matcha, it smells like if matcha was a perfume, if that makes sense, but I love the smell and it doesn't trigger any headaches either.
