***Black Silver***
This is what I call oxidized silver. The sterling silver is patinaed using Liver of Sulfur to give it that black color. I then take it one step further and hand paint and fire a clear enamel coating over top of the surface to protect the finish. This also makes my oxidized silver a darker, more consistent color. Please note that this is still a surface treatment and will wear over time. This wear is most noticeable on rings.
****Disclaimer: Our Basic Black designs are NOT given a clear enamel coating****

5 out of 5 starsThis is a beautiful ring. It's been in my favorites forever and I'm glad I finally ordered it. Maybe should have gotten it little bit bigger for when my fingers are swollen, but I think it will be OK.

4 out of 5 starsI realize the oxidized is temporary, but it faded within a week. The ring itself is nice, just wishing I had any inclination about how fast it would fade

5 out of 5 starsIt took awhile to ship because it is custom made but there was very clear communication around this from the seller. It is much more delicate in person than I thought based on the pictures, but it’s very unique and sparkly and well made and I’m quite pleased with it.

Failing was Simply Not an Option
I have been designing and creating quality custom jewelry since 1999. However, I didn’t begin my own business until 2006 when my first son was born. He and his younger brother have been the catalyst, inspiration and driving force for all that I have done since.
I have worked in the jewelry industry as a bench jeweler, wax carver, stone setter and repair technician. Along with my experience in the field, I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Sculpture and Metalworking with a Minor in Art History from Pennsylvania State University.
When I’m not working in my studio, I’m out photographing the natural wonders that surround us and enjoying our environment with my family. Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, I spent the majority of my childhood hiking in the woods, swimming in the creek and lying in the grass. Being outdoors is still my favorite place to be, but now it’s the beach instead of the mountains.
Now that I’m in a position to give something back to our world,
conservation is a vital part of my business. Whether it’s utilizing
recycled materials or donating a percentage of my sales, I strive
to preserve and protect the world around us so my boys can
grow up running barefoot in the sand beside shore birds.

Shop policies
Delivery projections provided by Etsy are automated and don't take our willingness to move an order ahead in our production schedule into account. If you'd like your item quickly, please provide a specific date, and we will do our utmost to accommodate. Shipping upgrades are available during checkout.
I use only the finest materials to create my jewelry. It is my goal to carry on the tradition of quality handmade jewelry while employing creative and innovative techniques to bring a modern edge to all that I fashion. In this way, I am hoping to uphold the rich history of gold/silversmithing along with providing my clients with unique, quality pieces that can be cherished for generations.
All of my pieces are meticulously hand polished and NOT tumble finished. This means that there is gauranteed NO FIRESCALE (the pinkish cast you get on sterling silver from oxidation while soldering or casting), and it gives all of my work a higher quality mirror finish.
***Please Note***
The majority of our items are made to order. If you should need your item by a specific date, please let us know in the note to seller box provided during checkout.
***Frequently Asked Questions***
--Do you use recycled materials and non-conflict stones?
Of course! We use recycled materials whenever possible. We even recycle our own gold by melting it down in our studio. All of our materials are conflict free and purchased from a reputable source that is SCS Certified.
--How long until I receive my order?
We try to ship our items as quickly as possible; however, each and every ring is custom made to size. Our production time can range from a few days to four weeks depending upon the design you order. If you need your item by a certain date, please just let us know and we will do our utmost to accommodate your request.
--Do you resize?
Yes. We understand how difficult it is to determine the fit of a band over the internet. Rings often fit differently depending on their dimensions. For example, a wide band may require up to a size larger than a thinner band in order to fit comfortably, and comfort fit bands can fit more loosely due to their beveled interiors. Because of these variables, we offer one free resize and only ask that you cover the shipping fees. Our clients may take advantage of this complimentary resizing anytime within one year of receiving their ring as we understand that some may purchase their band well in advance of wearing it daily. Pricing for any additional resizing will be determined on a case by case basis. Rest assured that we charge less for this service than most jewelry stores.
--Do you hallmark your rings with a quality mark and maker's mark?
Yes, we do when it won't damage the integrity of the ring. According to Federal Law, if you quality mark any piece of jewelry you must also add your maker's mark. But there is no requirement to add any mark at all. We do quality mark (.925, 14K, 18K, etc.) and add our maker's mark (BA) on most of our items. However some pieces are either too thin or are too intricately detailed on the outside to mark without harming the piece.
--Will there be a solder joint on my ring?
Yes. All of our rings are custom made to size. We do our best to disguise the joint and even go so far as to go back in with our saws and burs to re-cut any design. Please remember that this does not jeopardize the integrity of the ring. If you were to take your ring to a jewelry store to be sized, they would create solder joints in order to size it.
--Will my sterling silver ring tarnish?
It may. It all depends on how often you wear your ring. Silver tends to tarnish when sitting in the air for a prolonged time. Tarnish is actually oxidation, a reaction on the surface of the silver with the air around it. If you keep your silver pieces in a sealed plastic bag or wear them regularly (so the contact with your skin "polishes" off any oxidation) they should not tarnish as readily. If your silver does tarnish, you can pick up a bottle of Tarn-X at a local grocery store and that will do the trick.
We also use a new exclusive product, Sterlium Plus,™ for many of our rings. It has become the standard for tarnish resistant Silver. It out performs all other formulated anti-tarnish silver alloys such as Argentium Silver. Sterlium Plus™ is a sterling silver alloy that is tarnish resistant and maintains a bright white color. This product is made in the USA and we have been very pleased with it's performance.
--If I order an oxidized ring, will the black wear off?
Yes. It is a surface treatment and will wear, but it only adds to the character of your custom piece. We treat all of our flat black pieces with museum micro wax to help maintain the black finish. But any oxidized and brushed pieces are left natural.

𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 stopped accepting USPS Priority Mail packages in September 2021 due to Covid-related and transportation issues. It is unknown when this suspension may be lifted. Until that time, items with a value over $400 USD will be shipped via UPS. Unfortunately, UPS charges a hefty extended/remote area surcharge for delivery to much of Australia. If we find that you are not located in an extended/remote area while creating your shipping label, we will refund you for this surcharge. International shipments with a value below $400 USD will be sent via USPS First Class International Mail. For insurance purposes all shipments with a value of $400 USD or more will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail International. Both forms of shipment will include a customs declaration.
USPS First Class International Mail will deliver in partnership with your local post in approximately two to three weeks. USPS Priority Mail International will deliver in approximately 6 to 10 business days. (Orders for less than $400 USD may be upgraded to Priority International during checkout for an additional fee.)
★★★Please note that International Orders outside of the United States may be subject to customs fees. Please inquire at your local post office, as every country handles their customs fees differently. It is against federal law for us to pay these fees, so they will not be factored into the cost of your item.★★★
Depending upon where you live and the value of your purchase, Etsy may collect some form of tax to remit directly to your local government during checkout, but these funds do not flow through our accounts, nor do we have any control over the rates imposed.
