BleuRoo came about from a desire to stay home and spend more time with my son. I knew that I could create things that people would want, and I knew Etsy could be that place to bring us together.
I've always loved embroidery and was amazed at how easy it was to add something so lovely to ordinary items. Just a few strands of thread and a simple shirt could become a work of art. So imagine my delight when I learned that I could embroider items myself, and that it was fun, too!
Combining embroidery with a simple, logical idea like reusable snack bags pretty much sums up my life. I'm all about useful yet lovely things, especially when those things are something that I can create myself. I grew up with my mother making much of my wardrobe. She also dabbled in making jewelry, painting, doing ceramics, and whatever else struck her fancy at the moment. I caught the DIY bug from her.
