This is really nice. Looks and feels great. Received more than one compliment regarding pendant. Was asked by an antique dealer was it an antique? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very happy.
I love wildlife photography and making jewelry
I love the outdoors, wildlife, and photography. I started taking nature photos with my old black and white Kodak Instamatic film camera when I was about ten years old. I grew up taking pictures in a cemetery near my home where there were lots of old historic headstones and wildlife that came down from the foothills. When I was in high school I learned to develop and print my own black and white photos. As much as I still love film photography, I also really love digital photography. Digital cameras allow so much freedom and the ability to capture those precious wild moments in a split second. Wildlife photography gives me an excuse to do what I love which is just to wander around in the mountains and deserts near where I live in Utah. I also travel as much as I can to the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and Alaska where I always get fantastic photos.
I have combined my love of wildlife photography with my other passion, making jewelry. A few years ago I started working with silver precious metal clay (pmc) which is made from recycled pure silver. I discovered that I could carve or sculpt a pendant out of polymer clay or jeweler's wax, and then make a mold that I could use to form a pendant a .999 pure silver pendant. I love to carve wildlife pendants using my own wildlife photos as inspiration for the design. All of the design and creation of my jewelry pieces is done by me.
My photo prints are mostly printed by me on my professional Canon medium format photo printer using premium photo papers. For photos larger than 11" x 14" I use a professional photo lab. The photo lab produces large format prints, canvases, wrapped canvases, and custom framed prints. I also use a screen printing company that makes photo tote bags and photo pillows out of my original photos. The screen printer makes their own high quality tote bags and pillow covers in the U.S. I stand behind the products that I have printed and made by outside manufacturers the same way I stand behind products that I make myself.
I named my shop Blind Wolf Spirit in honor of Petunia, my blind and deaf rescue dog. Petunia was born blind and deaf. I have always admired her creativity and tenacity. Petunia is gone now but she was able to live a long a wonderful life because a rescue group took the time and went to the trouble to rescue her and find her a forever home. Please consider adopting a rescued companion animal, you will not only save a life you will embark on a new adventure.
Blind wolf spirit shop supports companion animal rescue and adoption programs, and wildlife conservation programs.
