We have both found ourselves making things for as long as we can remember. Be it a small knitted hat, a collaged birthday card or fixing up a set of oak chairs found in the alleyway, we are both happiest when creating. Especially so when the materials used tell a story.
Not long after we were married and living in Vancouver, we decided to try our hand at selling some knitted wares at a local market and took little chalkboards in embroidery hoops and on clipboards along with us. We loved becoming part of such a creative and supportive community!
It happened that Richard used to work as a cabinet maker and had all sorts of beautiful off cuts of wood and veneer stored up from that time. We both love wood and once Richard designed our first wooden bookmarks we had found the medium that we love. Our designs extended to guitar picks, bunting and jewellery - all made still from reclaimed and recycled wood.
Our inspiration is drawn from Modern design, moody landscapes, summer swimming holes, piles of quilts and witchy women. Ok, we also spend a fair amount of our research time watching cat videos on Youtube. Ahem.
We are so grateful for the support of everyone who has purchased from us, written about us and befriended us through this little shop of ours. Thank you!
B & R
xx

Our home is smoke free, but we do have one not very small cat who sometimes wants to help. We make sure all our items are clean and cat hair free, but do apologise if a few strays make their way in.
