Love these adorable little earrings! Pictures don't do them justice, the color is bright, they're the most beautiful clear pink color, and seller went out of her way to make sure I was a happy customer. Thanks!!!

Pendant was just as described - lovely. Arrived before due date and packaged beautifully, perfect if giving as a gift. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

About

Creative beings need to create.....

I've always been doing something creative.

Some of my earliest memories are of sitting in my old garden in a clothes horse tent, at my little table drawing and my mother bringing me banana milk shake (made with real bananas and cinnamon) and being happy.

My mother is quiet a crafty person, as was her grandmother and when I was little she used all sorts of materials to make all sorts of things.

I started making jewellery when I was in my teens, being inspired by some bead work my mother had bought when my family visited the Venezuelan Amazon and us trying to work out how it was done. Ever since then I've had a love of beads and found that I enjoy making wire wrapped jewellery.

What's my process you might wonder, well I'm a visualizer. My beads are like seeds, that when I look at them grow into something I can see with my minds eye and then create with my hands. I draw in much the same way, it starts as an idea or a doodle that evolves into its final form.

Through out the years I continued to draw and make jewellery, which is not so easy when you're the mother of eight. We have a very creative and imaginative family, living in London with all its diversity =)

During my search for materials to make jewellery, I came across Karen Hill Tribe silver and fell in love with it. My family have always been interested in the natural world and the beautiful artisan creations of the Karen Hill Tribe capture nature's beauty and hold it in silver. Even better is that most of the Karen Hill Tribe silver that I have bought is Fair Trade which I think is wonderful.

Then a couple of years ago I found out about Etsy from a friend and created a shop, but never had the time to work on it.

Now a few of years on, as my children have gotten older, I've started to have more time to use my creative skills and focus on my work. With the aid of my trusty digi camera I've been able to find some time to develop Blossoming Silver into a growing collection of beautiful jewellery available for sale.

As for my drawings, I've now had some designs sent off and made into pocket mirrors and badges, alas I don't have the tools to make them at home and they are lovely =)

At this point I should say that my older children have been wonderfully helpful in looking after their younger siblings and making me tea, the younger children for their part try to be good and helpful =)

So now I'm learning about online selling and Etsy is a wonderful place to meet other crafters. It's so nice to see what beautiful things people are hand crafting and vintage treasures that have been lovingly collected. Being able to discuss and share thoughts and ideas with others is wonderful =)

Welcome to Blossoming Silver where you can find items that have been created and hand crafted by myself, Carolina Sanchez, using quality materials, time and love.

Most of the silver beads, charms, pendants and toggles I use in making my jewellery, are fair trade and are hand crafted by Thai Karens. I believe that it's only fair that these silver artists are properly paid for their work and that their communities also benefit.

Thank you for stopping by and please feel free to contact me with any questions or feedback.
