Hi! Follow me on Instagram at @blueandblueshop for the best and latest info! <3

Feel free to message me with any questions, to set up custom orders, or just to say hello! Please allow up to 48 hours for a response — I will get back to you as soon as I can. :)

Blue and Blue is a handcrafted jewelry brand run entirely by me, Emerald Zedonek. I am a one-woman show and do everything from designing, creating, packaging, shipping, and social media outreach. I believe in quality goods and supporting makers and small businesses. Every single piece of jewelry I make is created with my own two hands, using traditional metalsmithing techinues. This means not only does it look good, but it’s built to last! All metals are sterling silver, gold-filled, copper, or brass, as noted in the item descriptions. I use both natural and man-made/treated gemstones and try to represent them as transparently as I can (send me a message if you need clarification on any stones!). I absolutely love creating and I hope you treasure my jewelry as much as I do. Every time you purchase from Blue and Blue, you are directly supporting my family and there are not enough THANK YOUS in the world for that! Thank you, I love you! xoxo, Emerald

About

Blue and Blue

My adventure in jewelry started a few years ago on a whim. I've been crafty and creative my whole life, and one day I gathered some supplies I'd had laying around for years and started experimenting. I quickly realized I had a LOT more ideas for jewelry designs, and before I knew it I had made more pieces than I could ever wear by myself. So I quietly opened shop on Etsy at the end of 2013, and eventually started selling here and at craft fairs in the spring of 2014.

Everything I do is self-taught. What started as wire-wrapping and beading quickly turned into silversmithing. I love the freedom of creativity that smithing provides -- you can make just about anything out of silver sheet and wire. My style has been evolving slightly over the years but I always seem to come back to nature- and geometric-inspired designs using sterling silver, gemstones, turquoise, and crystals.

When I am creating my jewelry, my goal is to enhance the fact that every piece is 100% made by hand. I like things a little bit weird, a little bit rustic. I don't want it to look like it was made in a factory -- that's boring! Blue and Blue celebrates differences and imperfection.

If you've read this far, I want to thank you for taking the time to check out my Etsy! Please favorite my shop and come back to visit again. I'm always coming up with new items (my brain is constantly overflowing with ideas!), and you might just find a one-of-a-kind piece perfect just for YOU.

Lots of love, Emerald ♥

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

I happily do custom orders! Whether it's as simple as changing a stone in an already-existing design or starting completely from scratch, we can work together to create a one-of-a-kind piece that will be uniquely yours.

Important things to note about custom and personalized orders:
- Payment is required after the design is finalized and BEFORE I start building the piece.
- Because the item is created especially for you, custom and personalized pieces are not eligible for returns.
Thank you for understanding!

Sizing details

Measurements given for specific items are usually either in inches or centimeters, whatever is stated in the description.

All ring sizes stated are US measurements. There is a handy conversion chart at http://www.ringsizes.co/ that compares sizes internationally. Please make sure you are selecting the correct ring size when ordering. I can happily help you with converting sizes if needed.

To find your ring size(s): I recommend having your finger(s) professionally sized at a jewelry store, but if you are unable to do that, you can try a printable ring sizing tool like this one: https://www.lumeradiamonds.com/files/ring_sizer.pdf.

If you wish to change a necklace chain length or increase/decrease the size of a piece, please contact me.

Care instructions

Follow these tips to get the longest life out of your jewelry:

- Wear it often. The natural oils in your skin actually help prevent tarnish.
- Store it in an airtight jewelry box or bag; exposure to air will tarnish metals faster.
- Take it off to sleep, shower, swim, exercise, etc. Jewelry does not like water, and physical activity is a great way to break or lose your pieces.
- Apply make-up/perfume before jewelry. Chemicals can interact with metals and change their appearance. Keep this in mind for cleaning products and crazy science experiments, too.
- Watch for snags. Jewelry with wire prongs or sharp/pointy details can easily get caught on clothes, hair, etc. Treat it nicely.
- Inspect regularly. Something wrong? Contact me!

Gift wrapping and packaging

Your pieces will arrive in a gift box, ready for giving. I often put orders with multiple pieces in the same box to reduce waste. If you would like me to use separate boxes, gift wrap them, or add in a personalized note to the recipient, simply contact me and I will be happy to do so.

Your receipt will be emailed to you via Etsy after placing your order. If you want a printed receipt included in your package, please let me know.

Orders are sent in paper bubble mailers. The Etsy logo will appear on the postage label. *Please make sure your shipping address is updated and correct! I am NOT responsible for incorrect addresses.*

I try to use recycled materials for most of my packaging and encourage you to recycle what you can, thanks!

Wholesale availability

Many items in my shop are available for wholesale. Please feel free to check out my line sheet on Etsy Wholesale. If you are a buyer but are not signed up for Etsy Wholesale, contact me for a guest pass or more information. Thanks!

Payment plans

Payment plans are available for pieces that cost $100.00 or more. Please contact me for more details.

International orders

I ship worldwide! Please note that international orders take more time to reach their final destination. I cannot control the speed of the customs process, and it can vary with every order. Orders to all countries outside of the United States are shipped with USPS First Class International Mail. This includes tracking until it leaves the U.S., and occasionally tracking will pick up in the destination country as well (this is not always the case and not guaranteed).

**EU buyers, please note: Your package(s) may be subject to VAT rates set by your home country. I DO NOT control this and CANNOT avoid it. Whether you will need to pay a VAT to get your package and what that rate will be is NOT something I can predict. Thank you!

Returns and exchanges

I accept returns or exchanges on all items except custom and personalized pieces. Please contact me right away if you need to initiate a return and be sure to send your item back promptly. Item(s) MUST be in original, unused condition to receive a refund. I will not process refund until the item is back in my possession and I have verified its condition. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and packaging. Only original item price is refunded; original shipping costs are not refunded. Thank you for understanding!
