Nice soft colors. Easily framed. Added it to 2 other birds I had purchased from this artist for a collection on the wall. Arrived promptly. Easy artist to deal with. She's very talented.

About

Turning Tragedy into Beauty

In 2009, life's circumstances drastically changed and I found myself transitioning life in every aspect, including moving to Colorado. During this time, I spent every spare moment focusing on my art and using it to simply cope with all of my new surroundings. At that time, I had no goals or ideas to work/sell my art but only to have an outlet to heal and move forward in life.

In early 2011, my father was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Within 8 months, he died.

My father's death was quite traumatic for me. I saw him for the last time on my birthday (which was the first time I'd seen him in 3 years!). It was painful, watching him slowly die, while doing all I could to comfort him, whether showing him my little doodles or softly singing in his ear at his bedside.

After my father's passing, my life and art significantly changed. A friend recommended I watch the movie, "Miss Potter", and after doing so, almost as if overnight, my art transformed into something completely different - a whole new world of whimsical delight. I finally found ME in my art.

So, I dedicate my art and ambitions to my father. I know he would be proud to see my life finally blossoming in all I had dreamed of for so long!
