Announcement
I loved the thrill of the hunt early in life when my sister and I discovered found treasures as we roamed the hills and hollows around our childhood country home.
My love of antiques and vintage things began a little later when I would accompany my dad to Flea markets and trade day functions.
I hope I never tire of 'the hunt' and I hope my heart always flutters every time I see an antique sign!

About bluecreekhome
I don't copy the newest trends in decorating - they change too often. My style developed over time. I invested in a few pieces of furniture with good bones, things that made me happy. They weren't necessarily expensive. A little paint and fabric transformed them into beautiful pieces that gave an ageless feel to the room. I added elements that fostered a sense of age - architectural and vintage pieces for example. I feel that rugs, window treatments, pillows, lamps, artwork, etc., are just as important as the furniture. Combing through European style magazines helped me decide what I loved and gave me an idea of what to look for.
I still find pretty things to add to my home but I try to remember to take something away every time I do. After all, I want a collected look not a cluttered one.
