About BlueGoosePottery

Sales 406
On Etsy since 2016

My Love of Pottery......

I was raised on a small farm in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia with my family. I learned at an early age that anything “home grown” or “handmade” brings more enjoyment and a much greater satisfaction to life. My upbringing on a small, working farm has influenced the rustic look and functional nature of my pottery.

I have been drawn to the warmth and usefulness of pottery for many, many years, and I finally had the opportunity to begin takings classes while I was working full time in a career in finance. I have been creating full-time since I retired from my day job in 2015. All of my pieces are produced on the wheel or by hand building in my studio on our family farm in Berkeley County, West Virginia. I focus on functional, durable, well-made pottery that can used and enjoyed every day, not just on special occasions!

I hope my pieces bring you as much joy as creating them brings to me……I hope you find something that speaks to you! Happy Shopping!

Frequently asked questions
Gift wrapping and packaging

I do NOT gift wrap, but I can include a “to/from” card with a printed message, if you are sending your purchase directly to a gift recipient. Add a note to your order with the message. I do not include pricing in the package.

Glazes

All of my glazes are lead-free and food safe. Please note that the glaze colors will be as close as possible to the photographs but due to the handmade nature of pottery and the variable kiln environment, some slight variances in color/tone will occur from firing to firing.

Refunds & Exchanges

You MUST contact me here on Etsy within 3 days of the date that USPS tracking information shows your package was delivered.
NO refunds/exchanges/replacements will be made after that time. Once I receive your return in good condition, I will issue a credit for the original purchase price. If the item was sent as Free Shipping, I will deduct my cost of shipping the original order to you from the credit that I issue.

Custom and personalized orders

I typically do not take custom orders, but feel free to message me so we can talk about what you have in mind.

Payment

Blue Goose Pottery accepts Paypal, Visa, MC, Discover, Amex, & ETSY gift cards as method of payment.

I do not accept checks, e-checks or money orders under any circumstances. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Payment in full is expected before shipping occurs on in stock items and before any work begins on custom orders.

Damaged Items

★If your item arrives broken★-- please photograph it in its original packaging immediately and contact me HERE ON ETSY right away so I can arrange a replacement or a refund.

A photo is REQUIRED, not optional.

Items are available for local pick-up. Please contact me if you are interested in picking up your purchase at my studio. If the item is labeled Free Shipping, your price will be reduced for the shipping cost included in the price.
