It could probably be said that I didn't find pottery, but pottery found me. Given the organic nature of this relationship and the experience I have had with pottery, I hope that my work reflects this same mix of spontaneity and certainty.

Creativity for me is found within the peace of nature. The name of my shop, Blue Green Artisan, stems from this idea. Blue Green calls out to the color of the Gulf of Mexico here on my doorstep. The Emerald Coast of Florida is beautiful, wild, free, and majestic - I love calling this place home.

Artisan, on the other hand, hails to community. To a community of people creating with their minds, and hands, and hearts. A community of people making the world bigger by making the world smaller. Artisans who care about their art and who care about their neighbors...that's where my work fits in.

I love making pottery, the history behind it, the generations of women before me who lovingly crafted for their families and friends. I hope that when you choose a piece of art from Blue Green Artisan your heart is touched by not only the continuum with the past, but looks forward to the future. Where will this piece be?
