We very much hope your item will be perfect for you, but sometimes problems do arise and we make every effort to resolve them as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Blue Lady Couture takes no responsibility if the colours you have ordered vary from those shown on the screen as it is impossible for us to accurately portray these due to photographic quality and differences in monitor settings. Please do not order if you are unsure.


We take no responsibility if your order does not arrive in time for your special event, providing it was despatched within the time frame explained. We have no control over the delivery time and only offer it as a guide in the order confirmation email based on Royal Mail and International Signed For. Please see our delivery policy for more details.

CLOTHING
For corsets and garments that are MADE TO ORDER, we cannot accept returns that are the wrong size or if you change your mind. The items will be made to the measurements supplied by you and it is unlikely we would be able to resell the item. Please double check your measurements and ask us if you are unsure about anything. Once your order is placed we will assist you as best we can to take correct measurements or recommend you ask a local seamstress to do them for you. Do be prepared to have some alterations done locally. Dress making is a fine art and a perfect fit cannot always be guaranteed due to all body shapes being unique. We do not cover the costs of any alteration work.

For READY TO SHIP accessories, corsets and garments, please double check on the sizing. We will accept returns, however you must contact us within seven days of receipt to inform us of your intentions. We do not refund shipment costs and the refund will be processed once we receive the item back in pristine condition.

If your item is FAULTY on arrival, please contact us within 7 days of receipt and we will endeavour to assist you to the best of our ability. We want you to be happy with your purchase, but please bear in mind 'faulty' does not mean fitting issues, but damaged. Please ensure damaged packaging is noted on receipt and photograph if necessary. Take care when opening your package. We do not recommend using knives or scissors.

I accept payment through Paypal and Etsy direct checkout.

Please allow a minimum 10 weeks for UK delivery on all custom made items.
International delivery may be a minimum of an additional ten days. Your item may get delayed in customs. We take no responsibility for this or any charges incurred.

Ready to wear items will be shipped once full payment has cleared.

UK orders will be sent via Royal Mail first class recorded, international orders via Royal Mail's 'International Tracked'. You will be required to sign for your package. This gives us both peace of mind that your order is on it's way and is delivered safely.

Some accessory items, such as parasols and stockings are sent Royal Mail second class to keep costs down. Although you won't need to sign, I do obtain proof of posting.

We always recommend you order well in advance and contact us if you are on a tight deadline to ensure there is space in our schedule since certain times of the year can be very busy.

Please note that for each item which is made to order, work on your order will not commence until payment has cleared and measurements received. Blue Lady Couture will make every effort to complete your order within the timescale above and will inform you if we feel we may not be able to do this (for example if a supplier is out of stock of fabric).

We recommend that you do not place an order less than 4 weeks before your event and suggest you allow at least 8 weeks in case any unforeseen problems arise. Please let us know if you have a short deadline as we can sometimes get very busy and may not be able to accommodate your request.

If you are outside the UK, your item may be liable to customs charges and delays. Blue Lady Couture takes no responsability for the payment of such charges.

UK buyers are welcome to contact me for a private appointment at my Lincolnshire studio and is recommended for corsetry, bridal, full outfits and high value pieces.
