I'm big guy, 6'1 300+lbs, and it supports me very well and is just the right size. Makes me wish I could get a matching zabuton.

I've been practicing meditation since 1987, when I studied martial arts. I've sewn meditation cushions since 2001, when I made a set for someone teaching meditation in prisons. I'm now retired from my costuming business, sewing cushions full time.

Custom and personalized orders

Sizing details
I try to list the approximate dimensions of each cushion. They are approximate, as buckwheat hulls compact slightly over time. In addition, sizes are slightly adjustable, via zippers that allow you to add or remove buckwheat hulls from the cushion.
Care instructions
Most cushions made with upholstery fabrics have a fabric stain repellent applied at the fabric factory. I apply a stain protector spray (noted in description) to lighter colored cushions to help prevent dirt and stains. Cushions may be cleaned by emptying out the buckwheat and washing them, but I recommend surface cleaning with as little water as possible.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Due to the personal nature of the size and fabric of a meditation cushion, I don't encourage surprise gifts. It might be more fun to tell the intended recipient about your gift and shop with them online. That way they can get a cushion that meets their needs and preferences.
Wholesale availability
I do not have a piecework sweatshop--it's just me in my sewing room at home. I'm not set up to do production, and I prefer to not take wholesale orders at this time.
