Clean, crisp, modern invitations dressed in timelessly beautiful fabrics...

That was the seed that grew into Blue Magpie Invitations. The idea that paper can be so much more expressive, so much more beautiful, with the addition of distinctive fabrics like silk, brocade, burlap, and vintage cotton prints. You feel the fabric right out of the envelope, and you feel the love, joy, and excitement surrounding that special event.

Over time, we've grown to see that by layering different materials and techniques—for instance, combining burlap with silk or hand-embossing on kraft paper—we are mirroring our clients' desires to combine a little bit of rustic with a little bit of luxury, a desire to follow tradition but with an unexpected twist.

We are so privileged to work with our clients at such amazing moments of their lives—whether it's to celebrate a birth, a milestone birthday, or the joining of two lives and families—and are incredibly honored to have worked with some of the best event planners around the country and to have been featured in national publications such as Brides Magazine and The Knot.

Hello and thank you for visiting the Blue Magpie Etsy Shop! Our goal is to help make your special moments even more memorable with our fabric + paper designs. We are always available for custom orders, so please contact us if you have a project in mind!

Returns and exchanges
Due to the custom nature of our work, orders are not refundable. However, we know our customers come to us to celebrate very special moments in their lives, so we will make every effort to make you happy with your purchase.

Please email us at hello[at]bluemagpieinvitations[dot]com before leaving any feedback on Etsy, so we have an opportunity to address any concerns you may have.
We accept payment through Etsy Direct Checkout and PayPal. Orders must be paid in full before we start work on your project.

Sales tax (at 9.0%) will be applied to the order plus shipping costs on sales within the state of California.
Most orders are ready to ship in about 4 to 6 weeks from the time we receive your approval on all printed items in your order. To help you gauge transit time, we ship from our studio in the Los Angeles area.

Invitation orders will usually be shipped via FedEx Ground. All other orders will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. To the extent possible, all shipments will be sent with tracking and will be fully insured.

All orders will be shipped through the United States Postal Service with the exact service to be determined by the availability of tracking and insurance to your country. Because transit time and time in customs can vary, we are unable to guarantee delivery by a specific date. Please be aware that you will be responsible for any customs or duties that might apply and that we are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with an estimate as to how much that might be. We are currently only shipping internationally to Canada, Australia, and the U.K.

In our experience, if you are purchasing paper products for an event such as a wedding or other celebration, items will ship at one of 3 times:

(1) about 6 months before the event for Save the Dates,
(2) about 3 months before the event for Invitations and any Invitation Add-Ons, such as Additional Inserts, Response Envelopes, Return Address Stamps, etc., and
(3) about 2 weeks before the event for Day-Of Items, such as Programs, Escort Cards, Menus, etc.

Therefore, when you are looking at shipping costs, please consider that Save the Dates will often ship by themselves, Invitations will either ship by themselves or with additional items tagged on (meaning you'll pay the main shipping cost on the Invitations PLUS the "With Another Item" shipping cost for things like Additional Inserts, Response Envelopes, and Return Address Stamps), and Day-Of Items will generally be shipped as a group (again you'll most likely be paying the main shipping cost on only ONE Day-Of Item PLUS the "With Another Item" shipping cost for any additional items like Programs, Escort Cards, and Menus).
