Announcement   PORCELAIN and STONEWARE POTTERY, ALL FUNCTIONAL AND HAND MADE!

I hope you enjoy vewing my pottery. All of this pottery, porcelain or stoneware, is individually thrown, carved, altered and glazed by me. I fire my pottery in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere to approximately 2200 degrees. The colors in the celadon, blue mist, burgundy red, blue-green and golden glazes that I use in my pottery are influenced largely by the reduction process.

UPCOMING SHOWS
I will be doing the Bedford fall Foliage the first weekend in October and Thurmont Colorfest the second weekend in October. See you there!

GLAZES
I particularly like to use glazes that have a lot of depth and variety. Many of them provide variations based on temperature, where the piece is in the kiln, amount of reduction and thickness of the glaze. Consequently, no two pieces of pottery are exactly the same.

FUNCTIONAL
Each piece of pottery is food, oven, dishwasher, microwave safe and lead-free. If you have any questions regarding this pottery, please feel free to contact me. I check the site regularly.

SPECIAL REQUESTS
If you would like something specific and don't see it here, please let me know and I will post other pieces of pottery that you might find interesting. You can also make specific requests. I love a challenge. However, special requests should be made well in advance because the process of throwing, bisquing, glazing and firing a piece takes me at least 6-8 weeks depending upon where I am in the cycle when you make your request.

HoLIDAY SHOW
HOLIDaY MART GLENWOOD MD, ROUTE 97, SATURDAY DECEMBER 5, 2015 from 10 to 5 pm.

I had to call about the order to get it shipped out. With apologies it went out the next day. The jar was beautiful once I received it. Nicely crafted!

Shipping
I usually ship through US Postal service Priority or Parcel post. Due to differences in cost because of shipping distance, prices can vary dramatically. I've tried to price shipping for an average distance from my home on the east coast. I f you have a question or concern about the cost please contact me.

I double box all of my shipped items...packed well in a box and then cushion the first box inside another. This is the professionally recommended method of shipping pottery but it can add to the shipping cost particularly with larger items. I've have very little problem with damage by shipping this way.

You can expect your piece to be sent within 5 working days of your purchase, although I try to post within 2. I will contact you when it is sent to inform you of the estimated delivery date.If there is some type of unusual circumstance I'll e-mail you to discuss. If you need special treatment let me know.
Refunds and Exchanges
I take great care in packaging my pieces for shipping, but in the event of damages or loss please contact me for refund or replacement. On all returns refunds are made once the item has been returned in its original and intact condition. Unusual circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Buyer pays for return shipping.
Additional policies and FAQs
I love to do special orders. It's a challenge for me to figure out what you're interested in. My only request is that you give me plenty of time( 8 weeks or more) to make your piece(or pieces).
Every sale is individual and important to me, do not hesitate to contact. I love to get mail!
