What is a mala?
A mala, mala bead, prayer bead or Buddhist prayer bead is a strand of 108 beads which can be used during meditation.
Centuries ago they were already used to count mantras in series of 108.
All malas can be worn both as necklace or bracelet, or be put in a place dear to you. It's an item to connect you to your inner self and your yoga and meditation practice.
Many people choose their mala based on the intentions they have for their practice. By wearing their mala or placing it somewhere in sight, they are reminded of these intentions.
A mala can be made out of many materials. At Blue Rock Malas you'll find malas made of gemstones.
How do I choose the right mala for me?
Setting intentions in your practice can help you decide on the right mala, but just liking the colors or the aesthetic can also work.
Choosing something you feel connected to can help you connect to your practice.

What if I can't find the right mala?
Although we try to make malas with our best intentions, it can be the case that you prefer a mala made of different stones, or colors.
