beautiful work, great service & prompt shipping
I have not been creative all my life. I used to be a bookkeeper. I am making up for lost time as fast as I can!
I started making jewellery at the beginning of this century. Sounds like a long time, doesn't it? Jewellery making is the sort of hobby that quickly turns into an obsession and after that, it becomes your life's work!
My very handy husband built me a work bench where I set about learning my craft and building the huge collection of tools, beads and wire that surrounds me as I type this story. I read a myriad of books and scoured the internet for "how to" articles. One new technique led to another. There are so many ways to put things together! I even invented a few of my own. No, I'm not telling you what they are!
I started making beaded pieces for myself and then for my friends and family as gifts. God knows what they thought of my efforts but, bless them, they wore them! When I had reached a certain standard, I actually sold a few creations at craft fairs and markets. Then I opened my Etsy shop to share my pieces with the world at large.
Nowadays, beading has pretty much gone by the by and I am now well into metalworking. My favourite ever thing is making chain! Wire wrapping all those beads on comes a close second. They call it a learning curve. It's certainly been that. I get a bit puffed out on the uphill sections!
I have built up a local clientele of loyal customers for whom I do custom work and repairs and I still sell at the odd craft fair and market day. It's lovely to see people wearing my jewellery on social occasions!
I have learned unexpected things on this journey. Things that one would think had nothing to do with making jewellery. By no means am I a nerd, geek or computer guru but I certainly know an awful lot more about cyberland than I used to! I have even learned how to handle my digital camera and can Photoshop with the best of them.
Designing and making jewellery is still the most important thing in my life. Well, apart from the grandchildren, of course. And enjoying living in the sunshine since we moved to Spain in 2004.
I consider myself very lucky to be able to do what I love and have other people enjoy the results of my labours!
Owner, Maker, Designer, Photographer, Copy Writer, Head Cook And Bottle Washer!
I am an ex-pat Brit, living in sunny Spain. I am married, have one son and two gorgeous grandchildren. I make jewellery because I love it and can't stop. Soy una pensionista! (That mean's I'm old!)
Accepted payment methods
Consumer (not business) customers have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days of receipt of the goods. This does not apply to custom orders.
The good news is that I have never had a customer to date who had not been entirely satisfied with my jewellery and I have not received any requests to cancel. See my feedback for what people think about my jewellery.
What this means to you – if you wish to cancel the contract, please send me a convo or email within 14 days of receipt of your purchase. I will refund you the postage and costs of the item. You are required to post the goods back to me at your own cost. They are required to be sent back in the same condition as when they were received and via a similar postal method, which should include tracking.
In with each item, you will find a small black square. Don't throw it away! It is an anti-tarnish tab and will help to keep your jewellery shiny and bright. If you keep your jewellery in it's plastic bag with the black tab and away from the light, the silver won't darken for a long time. When or if it does, a gentle rub with a silver polishing cloth will bring the shine right back up!
I aim to send out every item within 3 business days of payment being received, unless my processing times indicate another time scale.
Please let me know if the shipping address is not the one held by Etsy!
Please bear in mind that you may be charged duty and taxes by your country's Customs Service. I have no control over this and I am not responsible for their payment. Speaking of Customs, they have been known to hang on to packages for a while, so please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.
Refunds and Exchanges
This warranty is good for one year from the date of purchase. If you have a problem after this time, the item can still be returned for repair but I reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for this. Said fee will be agreed between us in advance.
Returns will be accepted by prior arrangement only.
All items returned must be sent to me with tracking and insurance for your own peace of mind. (And mine!)
Additional policies and FAQs
All copper ear wires are treated with a special protective solution to minimise direct contact with your skin. I have been assured by previous customers that this works a treat!
If you are not sure if a bracelet or necklace will fit you, just find one of your favourites that fits just right, and measure it from end to end. This is the way I show the length of my bracelets and necklaces. If the beads are quite big, extra length is needed to take this into account. Please don't hesitate to message me about possible alterations!
Most necklaces and bracelets can be altered slightly in length at no extra cost. Just ask!
A NOTE ABOUT COLOURS:
I have done my best with the photos and believe they reflect the true colours of my items. All monitors vary, however, and I cannot say for certain that they will look the same on yours as they do on mine.
