I use copper wire a lot to make necklaces such as this.

I use sterling silver wire to make these bracelets.

Sometimes I use both! As in these mixed metal earrings.

Then I go crazy with the dangly bits!

Spanish sunshine lighting up my work bench. I tidied up for that shot.
I have not been creative all my life. I used to be a bookkeeper. I am making up for lost time as fast as I can!
I started making jewellery at the beginning of this century. Sounds like a long time, doesn't it? Jewellery making is the sort of hobby that quickly turns into an obsession and after that, it becomes your life's work!
My very handy husband built me a work bench where I set about learning my craft and building the huge collection of tools, beads and wire that surrounds me as I type this story. I read a myriad of books and scoured the internet for "how to" articles. One new technique led to another. There are so many ways to put things together! I even invented a few of my own. No, I'm not telling you what they are!
I started making beaded pieces for myself and then for my friends and family as gifts. God knows what they thought of my efforts but, bless them, they wore them! When I had reached a certain standard, I actually sold a few creations at craft fairs and markets. Then I opened my Etsy shop to share my pieces with the world at large.
Nowadays, beading has pretty much gone by the by and I am now well into metalworking. My favourite ever thing is making chain! Wire wrapping all those beads on comes a close second. They call it a learning curve. It's certainly been that. I get a bit puffed out on the uphill sections!
I have built up a local clientele of loyal customers for whom I do custom work and repairs and I still sell at the odd craft fair and market day. It's lovely to see people wearing my jewellery on social occasions!
I have learned unexpected things on this journey. Things that one would think had nothing to do with making jewellery. By no means am I a nerd, geek or computer guru but I certainly know an awful lot more about cyberland than I used to! I have even learned how to handle my digital camera and can Photoshop with the best of them.
Designing and making jewellery is still the most important thing in my life. Well, apart from the grandchildren, of course. And enjoying living in the sunshine since we moved to Spain in 2004.
I consider myself very lucky to be able to do what I love and have other people enjoy the results of my labours!

POSTAGE AND PACKAGING
All items will be sent by Registered post, insured and with tracking.
Earrings and bracelets are sent in gift pouches and necklaces in gift pouches or presentation boxes. All are packaged securely in acid free tissue paper, bubble wrap & a sturdy Jiffy bag.
Please make sure that your shipping address is correct when you check out!
CARE OF YOUR JEWELLERY
I recommend you keep your jewellery in the storage bag provided, with the little black anti-tarnish tab, when you're not wearing it. I also enclose a polishing cloth with all shiny silver items. If your silver jewellery starts to oxidise, a gentle rub with this will bring back the shine.
I apply a patina to some of my jewellery. I don't usually seal the finish. This means that the patina may change colour over time, depending on your body chemistry and atmospheric conditions where you live. Personally, I rather like these changes but, if you would like me to seal the patina in, I shall oblige!
It may seem obvious, but please don't wear your jewellery in bed, in the shower, while swimming or hacking through the Amazonian Rainforest!
EAR WIRES
All copper earrings have oxidised sterling silver ear wires, to ensure the comfort of your ear lobes.
I can change most of my earring hooks to posts, if requested, and vice versa. Please don't hesitate to ask!
Just in case you were worried, my lovely earring model is made of paper!
GUARANTEE
I take great pride in my workmanship! However, if something breaks when you weren't hacking through the Amazonian Rainforest please get in touch. If I can repair it or replace it, I will and if not a refund will be forthcoming. This guarantee is good for one year from the date of purchase. If you have a problem after this time, the item can still be returned for repair but I reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for this. Said fee will be agreed between us in advance. Returns will be accepted by prior arrangement only. All items returned must be sent to me with tracking and insurance for your own peace of mind. (And mine!)
A NOTE ABOUT COLOURS
I have done my best with the photos and believe they reflect the true colours of my items. All monitors vary, however, and I cannot say for certain that they will look the same on yours as they do on mine.
