I create and produce functional, colorful items to add practical beauty to my own and other people's lives.
In my studio, surrounded by cones and skeins of yarn, I weave on a 4-shaft floor loom that I keep threaded and busy, and am always planning my next project. Using the cones of yarn in my studio as my palette, I play with color combinations and mull over patterns and textures. Sometimes, I am not sure if what I plan will work, but am usually pleasantly surprised with the results. I weave for a creative outlet, and as a meditation; also as a way to keep learning and exploring options in color, texture, and weave selection. Most of all, I love making customers happy!
In addition to weaving, I dabble in other fiber arts, including locker hooking of rugs and Kumihimo, a Japanese braiding technique
