All of my pieces are OOAK and handcrafted by me personally from design to completion. My pieces are "wearable art" and as such you will NOT find anything similar in department stores. If you are looking for pieces as unique as you are, then look no further!

10% of all sales in my shop are donated to these 4 Charities that are near and dear to my heart ~ KIVA, World Wildlife Fund, Greenpeace International and Doctors Without Borders. However, all proceeds from my special "Water is Life" collection will be going to the Keepers Of The Athabasca because, well, WATER IS LIFE!!

You will see some unfamiliar words in my section names - these are Cree words, and I have used them to segment my shop according to the "FEEL" of the pieces.

Wawetseka means "Pretty Woman" and this section contains my more mainstream pieces. Everything is still made using genuine gemstones, etc., but it has a more modern, sophisticated feel.

Huritnuna means "Beautiful Land" and this is where you will find all of my Aboriginal styled pieces that also incorporate not only gemstones, but birchbark, driftwood, butterfly wings, buffalo bone, etc.

Askuwetaw means "He Keeps Watch" and in here are all my handcrafted, heirloom quality Rosaries, Prayer Beads and Cross Jewelry.

Finally, Manito Kisikaw means "Christmas" and this is where you can find my Christmas themed pieces all year 'round!

This is a beautiful ring. There is something special, about a stone in its natural state! The 14k gold wire setting sets off the stone perfectly. I am so happy about this purchase!! Thank you. Donna

About

Metis Bling ~ A Blend of Traditional & Modern ~ Gifts From The Earth

My Husband and I are both Metis People - recognized Aboriginal People here in Canada, with a distinct culture and traditions that borrow from our mixed heritage (European and First Nations)

All of my pieces are one of a kind, and made entirely by me from design to completion using traditional methods and materials in new and sometimes surprising combinations. I try for a natural feel to all my pieces as I love the beauty of the natural world around us and prefer it to "bling".

Please be aware that you are purchasing genuine, Aboriginal, OOAK jewelry.
All of my gemstones and pearls used are real, as only the real thing has healing vibrations, and each stone and pearl is unique since it is made by the hand of the Creator and not machine-made.

You can find my jewelry offline in the Slave Lake Visitors Centre Gift Shop in Slave Lake, Alberta, Canada as well as in the Kinusayo Museum Gift Shop in Kinuso, Alberta, Canada. I also take part in several markets and handcrafted shows throughout the year and will be posting the locations on my Facebook page if you would like to come down and see me to just say "hi" or to pick up one of my pieces. You can "like" my Facebook page here at www.Facebook.com/BlueWorldTreasures

If you have any questions or suggestions about my pieces, or would like me to create a unique custom piece just for you, please convo me ~ I LOVE doing custom work!

Have a wonderful day.

I am an avid lover of nature. I have always lived in northern Canada, growing up in the Yukon Territory and later living and working in Alberta & Manitoba. My kids & grandkids are the reason that I respect the world around me - it is their legacy.

My Husband Pete is my biggest support and cheer leader. He helps out with cutting the bone for my projects, drilling stones for me and he also builds all of my jewelry display stands for me out of driftwood and sets up my tent at farmers markets :)

Frequently asked questions

Are your Native American Items Authentic?

Yes, they are 100% Authentic. Both my husband and myself are Metis people - recognized Aboriginal People here in Canada. The designs all incorporate teachings and legends of our ancestors in unique and sometimes modern designs, but are completely handcrafted by me personally from design to completion.

Are your materials Ethically and Sustainably sourced?

Yes they are - We are taught to use everything that the Creator gives us, so the butterfly wings I use are from Butterflies that have already expired naturally. The birch bark is naturally fallen from the trees, and the buffalo bone and deer skin are from animals that have been taken for food purposes, to be eaten during our traditional Sundance ceremonies - nothing is wasted and no animals are harmed unnecessarily.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All of my pieces are shipped in a simple jewelry box, ready for gifting if you wish to do so. They are then placed in a bubble envelope to further protect them during shipment.

If you wish further gift wrapping to be done, or a gift card to be enclosed, please convo me and I will do my very best to accommodate you :)

Do You Have Less Expensive Shipping Options?

My shipping prices are set by Canada Post and USPS. They are the least expensive options that provide tracking. Every shipment is tracked for YOUR protection to guard against lost or missing parcels. I know you do not want your beautiful pieces to go missing!

Because I live in a small Northern community, I am unable to offer next day shipping. It takes one business day from the time I put your parcel in the local mail until it reaches the first major centre - Edmonton - and then it goes out from there.

Most of my shipments to the USA arrive within 7 business days at the regular parcel rate. The FASTEST I can ship to the USA is 5 business days so please keep that in mind with time-sensitive gifts.

Would You Like Our Coupon Code???

Here are all of our current Coupon Codes :)

Canadian customers use discount code CANADIANEH for 25% off - equivalent to the current Canadian/USA exchange rate.

MATCHINGSET gives you 10% off any 2 or more items purchased at the same time so you can create a custom, matching set :)
