On Etsy since 2008

I've always loved making things. When that spark of interest met Etsy, I was consumed.

I'm so playful at heart, that I can't help gravitating toward toys. Everything I make is a toy. If I make a quilt, I'm thinking about how it will be played with. If I make curtains, I consider stitching in secret pockets, and obsess about making the rod secure enough to survive if the curtain panel becomes an impromptu dance partner, or is draped over a chair to create a fort. My Etsy shop is a product of this love of playful creation.

I'll never forget the feeling of posting my first meager listings. I wasn't so much excited as terrified. I was developing original product ideas and designs and setting them free in the world, holding my breath as I waited to see if anyone would care.

The first order that came in meant so much more to me than the $12 in my Paypal account. It was a key moment of validation that nudged me forward, as have each of the 565 orders since.

I owe much to Etsy. I am so grateful for the confidence it helped me find in my own voice, and for the inspiration of networking with the vast community of creative souls who are drawn to this site, both as shoppers and shop keepers.

Etsy, I love you. Not because you're some great up-and-coming company with perfectly hipster headquarters in Brooklyn (though that IS pretty awesome), but because you are the millions of users who pour their hearts into the idea that incredible things happen when we support individuals.

I take pleasure in textiles, toys, construction, crayons, good food, twigs, lively banter, and lots of free play. I believe in many things, but most things I believe in are really just another way to say "I believe in love." <:3)~

I am a toy geek on a mission to prove that having a good selection doesn't have to mean a junked out toy box, so I put a lot of thought and development into each design I make. I always welcome feedback and suggestions, so don't be shy! :)

Custom order requests are always welcome!

I'm happy to ship outside the US, but ask that you convo me first so I can give you a quote and set up the listing accordingly before checkout.

I believe a toy should inspire and be inspired, or it's just more clutter in a toy box.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I want you to be happy! really- I do!

Unfortunately, there are a few practicality issues associated with a free and liberal return and exchange policy when dealing from a distance.

If there is a problem, please contact me right away, and I will do my best to restore the happy. If all else fails and the happy just won't come back, then as a last resort we may make arrangements for return and refund.
Paypal or Money Order, only.

If an order has not been paid for within 3 days, I will re-list the item.
On ready-to-go items, I will ship within 3 to 5 business days. Custom items generally take longer- please allow for two weeks unless you check with me first.

All shipping will be done by standard USPS by default.

I'm happy to combine shipping on multiple items.

I will, whenever possible, use and re-use recycled and upcycled packaging. Most items will ship in something along the lines of a bubble mailer.

In a rush? International? Local pickup? Send me a note before check-out and I'll see what I can do.
Additional policies and FAQs
All those little pictures I've drawn, and bits of text I've written, and the layouts and designs and instructions thoughts and even the little details? That all comes right from me, with a lot of thought and love. Please respect the love and copyrights.

I'm happy to share ideas, but if you are going to make your own, it's worth making it your own. If you do create something inspired by something from my shop, send me a picture! I want to see what you did. :)
