5 out of 5 starsI'm so enamored with this neckpiece! It is made by a master craftswoman! The detail is so fine and delicate, it's incredibly well made and its arts and crafts appeal is right up my alley. This is an heirloom piece that I'm wearing now and will enjoy for years to come. I'm a big fan of her work and am incredibly honored to finally own my first piece. Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsI have a few of Brittany’s pieces and actually wear them all the time.. This one is a stunner!!.. The beetles are very unique and have a lot of detail on them.. the chain is a very nice weight, can be doubled or wear it long,, either way ....I really am drawn to the fact that Its simple and quite elegant at the same time... something you could wear for casual dress up or just to hang out .. I love it.. Thanks again Brittany for you really fine work..

5 out of 5 starsBrittany is amazing, not only as an artist but as a person. She has endless patience even when I thought I was annoying. As others have commented, the best customer service I've encountered in a long time. Thank you.

5 out of 5 starsWe absolutely LOVED working with Brittany on our custom rings. We had a small window of time and she designed them and executed their production very quickly. They are wonderful and we would highly recommend her work.

I do a good amount of my thinking during sunrise at the dog park.
On the subject of making things
It starts with some sheets and wires- I appropriately apply hammers, arm-powered saws, fire and sand paper to create what you see here. No lasers, no magic- just lots of practice. That is what matters to me about all of this, I feel unbelievably lucky to be able to spend my days in the act of making things. Sawing is a meditation, stone setting is a practice in moderation and focus and (probably most importantly) it's something I was made to do- it fits perfectly with how I think and how I want my days to be.
My style developed out of years of looking at illuminated manuscripts, ancient calligraphy, the decorative edges of everything from curtains to castles and it slowly moved from tracing bits of designs to being able to freehand my own.
I crossed cultures' little twirly lines and believe I have created a style all my own.
The medieval feel is balanced by a strong, clean finish- this brings it into the modern world. I think you can clearly see my hands in this work, the tools are the same as hundreds of years ago and that leads to a quality of person in the work that you will not see in the machine made items of the world.
I have a bona-fide college degree in metal working (from the School for American Crafts at RIT) and started making and selling those things soon after I moved back to Minneapolis.
It's now 8 years I've supported myself. I've made a few hundred custom pieces of jewelry and thousands of pieces for galleries and shows. I also do random custom work, everything from wedding rings and belt buckles to memorials. I can work gold, silver, pewter, copper, some platinum and steel.

Shop policies
I don't want an empire, I don't want a label, I don't even want an employee. I just want a shop and some books somewhere quiet near an ocean where I can walk with a dog and plenty of time to keep making things that look like things I make.

Refunds will be given within 2 weeks of your receiving the item on undamaged items.

Additional policies and FAQs
I take half up front (on completion of designing) and half on delivery. I can use stones you already have (often) and melt down old jewelry to reuse the metal (sometimes). Just send me some details and I'll let you know what I can do.
I often do wholesaling and consignment work, just email me at bmf(at)brittanyjewelry.com or send me a convo and let me know what you're thinking.
