I ordered A TON of bow ties for my wedding with not much time to spare. Tony made them so quickly and they came in and looked perfect. He was fantastic to work with--very quick and very professional. Would definitely buy from BobbinAndRex again!

Was happy to make a custom order for me and sent me a new pair when the first didn't fit. Thanks so much!

A brief biography.

I graduated from FIDM in Los Angeles with an Associates Degree in 2010. Shortly after that I began designing for a large variety of LA-based clothing companies. Everything from the depressingly low-end to the ultra-lux, showing at Milan Fashion Week. It was a lot of fun, but by the end of 2011 I decided I wanted to go back to school to get my Bachelor's.

I moved up to San Francisco and began attending Academy of Art University. During my long, unemployed summer I had to find some sort of release for all of my new and improved design and sewing talents. Thus, Bobbin and Rex was born.

Upon starting school again this Fall I was also lucky enough to secure a designing and production position with a San Francisco-based clothing label named Betabrand. Starting work, school, and continuing to work on Bobbin and Rex has been something of a balancing act, but I've still been managing to fit it all in!

I've been designing professionally for a little over 2 years, and have been sewing as a hobby for a lot longer than that. I am currently working on my BA in Fashion Design and designing for the ultra-goofy clothing company known as Betabrand.

Shop policies

Bobbin and Rex is one of the many side projects of San Francisco, CA based designer Tony Wloch. Each item is completely hand crafted. From patterns to sewing to the individually embroidered labels, no factory is involved in the making of any Bobbin and Rex garment. This results in a product that takes more time to complete, but also means that no two pieces turn out exactly the same, giving each piece personality and life that is completely absent in mass market production.
The concept of a single skilled craftsman creating an entire garment from concept to finishing touches is a dying art. Bobbin and Rex pays homage to this and actively works to keep it alive.

I am more than happy to reserve an item that you may be interested in, but out of fairness to other potential buyers please complete the transaction within a week or so.
Everything is shipped out as soon as possible, and no later than 3 days after completed purchase, via USPS Ground (3-5 days within USA). If you need something quicker, please contact me beforehand so I can figure out express rates for you.
International shipping is also done through the US Postal Service and usually takes anywhere from 1 - 3 weeks (sometimes a little longer at the holidays), so plan accordingly if purchasing for a gift or specific occasion.
Refunds and Exchanges
I am willing to accept returns within 10 days of receipt.*
Unless an item is specifically noted as "discounted because of damage" I guarantee that all items leaving my possession are completely cute, wearable, and finished. That said, I can't control the post office, and buyers should take note accordingly. Of course 99.999% of all shipping transactions end up just fine, but if you do happen to end up in that unfortunate .001%, if there is anything that can be done regarding a damage from shipping, I'll do my best within reason to correct it.
Along those same lines, upon request (before purchasing) I can insure shipments and provide delivery confirmation within the US for an additional fee. Otherwise, the financial responsibility for lost/damaged items lies solely upon the purchaser once shipped.

*Due to the nature of underwear and swimwear, these garments are non-returnable and non-refundable.

I am willing to consider custom orders, so feel free to ask, but please note that at this point I am not looking to do cosplay or replicas of another designer's work.
